Cap-ship for solo ratting.

Just setup a carrier as either a sentry boat, clears sites very quickly but downside is you can't be aligned or B: Use the fighters to clear the site stay aligned and warp our if needed the fighters will follow you in warp. Drop me a message if you wants fits.

Christ you can rat in anything you want and if you're not a complete idiot the chances of losing it are rare to say the least.


Yes this does work to rat (sentries). However regarding the fighters I did encounter an issue with my fighters trying to kill BS's in an Anomaly. The got aggro'ed (and one popped making the site cost more than deliver). I thought they were launched too soon so I waited for the rats to target me when I had them in bay, but for some reason that never happened.
People told me I needed to fit a Targetpainter or something, but as I am too scared to actually get Archon in I thought I just as well use the Arcon to jump my BS's around and use those in the anoms.

This is where being vigilant is needed, with sentries just fit a shield repper so when you notice one of the drones being attacked target and rep, much easier to do with 2 x sebo's

With fighters expand the drones in space tab and as soon as you see one taking damage recall it, soon as its back wait a couple of seconds and send it back out again. Haven't lost a drone yet its just about being watchfull.

I've tested carriers on SISI....

They can rat with sentries successfully. They can do 1350 DPS with max skills. It is like deploy sentries and walk away. Come back, deploy 2 more to compensate for losses and do your RL stuff.

This is unsafe on TQ, because 1350 DPS is weak and may not break gankers spider tank.

What is the point? 1.5 bill ISK for 1350 DPS? You can get Ishtar Duo for less, just like you would need Carrier pilot and Cyno pilot. Ishtar Duo costs 400 mill and does 1250 DPS.

There is only one way to rat with a cap and thats with an Avatar. Have a covops warp to the site cloaked at 100km. Warp the Avatar to the covops at 100km. Have the Avatar target BS->BC-Frig. Have the covops reship to a sniper ship warp to the Avatar at 0 and target Frig->BC->BS. The fit for the Avatar is pricey but it's worth it.

sentry carrier is nice. Fitted cost like 1.5-1.6 you will get 800mil if you lose it so its cheap enough i guess for the ticks it give. Tank aint an issue . The only problem is that people dont accept those as ratting ships and they probably prefer you to lose a 2.5b + machariel that wont have any problem.

As for cyno alt .. there are modules that called cyno generators that you actually dont need one to go there ? Many alliances actually uses em ?

Ratting/PVEing in a carrier is fine.

******* up, losing the thing, and ending up as a lolmail on the alliance KB, however, isn't.

So don't do that.

Well ..when I was in 0.0 (drone regions (when drones were dropping alloys) I use Chimera + T3 cruiser or BS
The carrier was like a invul logi ship, cap stabile + some nice dmg with sentries and an alt with max DPS BS or T3cruiser.
Worked as a charm, lots of dps... rats dropping like a flies.
Of course i did also have a noctis in the carrier hangar so i could switch ships for my alt.
In short... I could blitz through sanctums for hours.
Just align your carrier, drop the speed a bit and check the local while burning rats.

BTW... in the 6moths i spent in the 0.0 never lost a single pve ship, my carrier wasnt tacled even once.
So if You keep Your eyes open it`s as safe as in hi sec.
