Ask him. He can pull up his map and tell you.

..unless you were planning on hovering over his head and surprising him with some random orbital strikes, in which case you may not want him to know you're popping in for a visit. Lol

There's a map in the debarkation room where they can zoom in to the planet they're at

E-RPGP is where all of the pub matches take place AFAIK, have fun trying to get there.

Corp Battles, well, just go troll FW low-sec, you'll see them starting to pop up sooner than later....

Neither you, nor your corp are enrolled into Faction Warfare, which is the only interaction between DUST Bunnies and Capsuleers.

Hey guys,

You want to start dropping shells on some poor dust bunnies... erm I mean proper mercenaries on the ground.

I would first like to point you towards this Evelopedia page which should answer most questions: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/EVE-DUST_514_Link_FAQ

This is correct however we are making a change to this ASAP. It does not make sense for the random matches from the match making service to send you out to Jove space. We will move moving it to high sec, probably Luminaire II at this point.

This does not mean you will be able to provide orbital support for these matches. The matches started via the matchmaking service will still not support orbital bombardments.

I will leave it at that for now, please read that Evelopedia page and if you still have any questions let me know and I will be happy to answer them. :)

You should let us rain hell on the pub matches, just make it a CONCORD-able offense.

Initiate Orbital Bombardment-> CONCORDOKKEN!!!!

please?

Not being able to rain hell on high-sec pub matches is like being told that we can't engage any ship anywhere, it doesn't fit with "sandbox"

Can you destroy a space station? No.
Does that fact not fit in the sand box? No,

Even a sand box has certain boundaries, otherwise it would be a desert.

It's an amusing thought. Smile

However since High Sec DUST battles (if/when that becomes possible) are probably going to be where random matches occur (NPC sponsored) bombardment wouldn't be an option anyway.

Local chat wont change. As it stands DUST players stay in their station, even when in a battle for a planet. This may change in the future, I mean how cool would it be to see local spike with DUST players and know a battle must be starting on a planet. However for now we want to nail down the back end systems and make sure they are rock solid before we go doing things like that. There is a lot of potential for that being abused, especially since DUST accounts are free, to go around getting free intel and such things.

How about you or another Dev head over to the OFFICAL FEEDBACK thread and start answering/helping over there. Not a single DEV response since it opened.... sheesh.

ANY estimate as to when the first, basic ECONOMIC linkages between the two "games" will begin to happen ?

Yes, I realize FANFEST is coming up soon -- so, at the very least, I'd expect to get some great news there.

I believe they will be kept separate for sometime after it goes open beta, and will slowly be implemented over time. I'm sure this will be to make sure that Mercs don't come into the game and have to buy 10mil isk assualt rifles.

edit: also since you highlighted the very least *clears throat* NDA

To be honest I have been so busy I didn't even know that thread existed. Woops. I shall head over now and see if I can get a few responses in before I head out for Friday night. :)
