i think i read an idea somewhere: Blueprint originals for NEX items on the NEX Store, use PI as the platform for manufacturing clothes? maybe the BP or Manufacturing Schematic once purchased adds the item as selectable in the Advanced Processing Unit on planets?

or you could go the POS route to making clothes

After all this time not even 1 room behind that door CCP created and don,t know how to open themselves.

At least a corproom should be present after all this time

And more importantly...what you guys want us to do with it.

Here's what I suggest. You take that dagger that you used to kill WoD and drive it into the heart of WiS. That's a great suggestion.

Now here's an excellent idea for you to spend AUR on. Buying ship skins that are permanent for your ship of preference on an individual basis and only the end-user sees it, not other players as to keep game loading to a minimum.

Player A sees his ship w/ the skins that he picked.
Player B sees A's ship with just the normal look.

Fail

It's just a graphical look. Fine call it fail. It's just a suggestion for CCP to make some money off something that doesn't affect the game's population. Afterall what is WiS used for anyways other than to play barbies?

I think Incarna would have gone over better if it were more like the video linked above, and released with at least what was shown in the video instead of the 1 room CQ that doesn't look anything like the video CQ. I think it would have been pretty kewl for the pod thing and maybe an animation showing you getting out of it etc. That, and rinky dink cheap NeX items instead of how it was launched, add the expensive stuff later once people get used to the idea of buying NeX items via $$ > Plex conversions. Being able to sell NeX items on the market though was a good move, a lot of games make the items you get from MT stores bound to your character. Definitely need to keep that in mind moving forward, that way people who don't want to spend $$ can at least spend isk to get the same items.

So I'm sitting here reading, thinking of how i want to respond, and I realize this topic is getting really boring after all this time and almost skipped this thread altogether...

However, as a message to CCP, just because the topic has gotten boring, doesn't mean your players have stopped resenting the bait and switch CQ's, the being treated as sub-human cows to harvest for our money milk, that you blame us for your game getting less and less worth playing with each expansion. Those feelings of resentment aren't going to go away on their own, no matter how bored we get with talking about it.

Maxim 6. If violence wasn’t your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.

Agreed, but I will point out that the secondary market was not the only way to buy NeX items for ISK.

In fact, most people that bought NeX items simply bought their PLEX with ISK to begin with, thereby avoiding the markup in the after market.

most of us tend to agree that the whole WIS concept is good , but it was badly implemented, technical issues and too litle of actual game use

I look forward to the day we can actually leave our CQ so i can kick the first goon i meet in the ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

That is a good point as well, I forgot about doing that lol. I usually plex my alt to avoid sub fees, so I didn't even think about just buying a plex to convert to NeX with isk. That may explain why plex has gone up almost 100 mil in the last month lol.

Someone still spent the $$ to get the plex on the market to begin with, but for those who find spending $$ so distasteful, using one's own isk to buy the plex then buy the items is also a very viable means.

Here's a thought, release what was intended to be released like the establishments that were apperently pretty much done.
That's what was promised and that's what people are waiting for.
A bar with minigames and the ability to hang out and chat with other pilots with our avatars. That's what Incarna was all about and would make a good start to expand the WiS part with more features and more gameplay elements.
And what is best is that we the community will be able to offer better¨suggestions for improvements.
Right now all we got is a cage and the only suggestion is let us meet other people. How does that help you CCP ?

Hilmar stated that CCP has learned their lesson but ignore the part where people complained about only half of a expansion that were never finished. And you are making the same mistake again.
I do not mind if CCP works on the FiS part, not at all but wouldn't it be better if you finished Incarna(which I repeat apperently was pretty much done) and then focus entirely on FiS ? Atleast that shadow over the game will be gone.

I just don't get...

How hard can it be...

To just...

ADD GUNS???

Guns add fun EVERYWHERE they are tried. They're like the cupcakes of video games. They only make things better, EVERY time.

Need a purpose for a room to exist? Have dudes with guns outside and dudes with guns inside.

Guess what?

The dudes with guns outside must go inside. They might not even know why they need inside. They might not know what is inside. But god dammit there are other dudes with guns inside for some reason and that's enough.

You can hear peoples reactions in background of that video. There wasn't really much objections or resistance against Incarna back then. People were waiting for it, the establishments, starting their own business in station... Incarna was good thing.

Many really questionable and horrible decisions brought us to the point, where Incarna was released as "Carbon/WoD tech demo" without any real content except microtransactions shop. This is something what people understand very clearly and can not be swept under rug any more.

I find the ongoing argument about "do we want WIS or not" quite useless. It is clear that player base as a whole wants many issues in the FiS fixed. They also want more permanent resources working with new FiS content. Then there is this another half who have been waiting for Incarna for years and they obviously want what was promised to them also.

It would be really weird if CCP didn't continue WiS in some point. I would be more worried about "what is coming" than "when is coming" and that is the thing where the discussion about WIS should be focused.

Everyone does understand my original question? The comment by CCP Solomon made it sound like although establishments were on hold, we would get some sort of new WiS content. Different CQs really is not new content, its the same content with a different look. All the things I can do in the new Gallente quarters I can also do in the current Matari ones. We sure do not need our spacelegs if that's all we get.

So my question still stands to CCP: is CCP Solomon's comment "...but don't put your spacelegs away just yet, they will be needed" meaningful given the recent changes?

From there, in the least minimum, player BAR and CASINO's for making a purpose of WiS and NEX vanity items so players can actually interact. And for giggles, at least the ability to punch and kick (and knockout) for those that are at war and run into each other at the bar/casino....merely for LULZ might have to put a aggression timer to prevent exploitation and gang fights =)

May I be the first to say bull crap "what you guys want us to do with it". I don't remember ever seeing a poll or vote or anything saying we don't want incarna. I do remember that people want you to

  1. Stop putting out half finished products and calling them full updates
  2. Fix some of the problems that you said you would but then never got around to it
  3. Stop treating us like we don't matter and that we are just a paycheck (see NEX)
  4. Stop telling us what we want and putting things in our mouths

There is a large group of people that do want WiS and Incarna however you have promised alot and then screwed us over.
- We were told that clothing and bars and other things would be player made economy. You then hijacked it for your NEX.
- You said here it is and then gave us a closet that we couldn't do anything with.
- You promised it was optional then made it manditory.

Stop making promises and then changing your mind because something else caught your attention, or you figured you could make a quick buck off of us. Do what you said you would. Give us our finished Faction Warfare, give us our Ambulation, give us a stable SoV system. Now you went and made the mistake of promising more ships so deliver on that now.

What we want is finished content. Something with some purpose. If Incarna had been launched with all four CQ and establishments people would have complained about performance but there would have been purpose to it. The problem, for the larger player base not just the Goons, wasn't Incarna per se but the fact that it was just a teaser that you couldn't do anything with.

Oh, and please don't listen to the Goons on anything, even though that will mean ignoring the CSM, they don't really care about EVE. Just about lolz.
