As a pvper i would like to be able to get standings with NPC's, so they act friendly
after some level. Players killing NPC's should have bad standing with them allready
so killing that kind of player would improve my standings with them.
At the moment it makes no sense that when i attack a player the npc's beeing shot by
him are switching to me, even if i act friendly to them, the AI is broken in this case,
unless this is a stealth changed to protect that player from being killed, i would like
to know if that is the case.

AI is not broken....the rats don't know if you are a friend or a foe.

I'll go out on a limb and say on one of your roams if you come across a ratter about to clear up an officer spawn that once you killed the ratter Mr. Officer is dying next. Or are you going to give up that nice loot drop?

And wh'ers have been dealing with NPC aggro switching AI for years now have managed to get pvp kills.

If you do NPC missions for the Pirate faction, have a good standing ... their rats still attack you - total nonsense ...

Did you not even give a moments thought to how easily this could be farmed?

So you want to solo PVP, killing players in ratting setups, but need the rats to help you.

This was how it was for years for the pve'er. I won't lie, I have a few rat assisted km's on one char from back in the days I did pvp. Lol mails with NPC damage dealers on them ain't so funny when its now their loss mail for some people.

This I can agree with. Having bad standings with empire factions is penalized by them attacking you, but having good standings with pirate factions does not have a similar reward.

I kind of agree with Xavier.... If you run missions to boost your NPC standings, it should be possible to have high enough personal, and perhaps corporate standings so the rats don't attack you anymore.

At the same point in time, hacking a Radar plex should still incur aggression... I think the trade-off for having Pirate rats that don't attack is you can't farm them in belts or run their plexes without losing standings!!!
