i find it very odd that the default control is to zoom-in using mouse wheel down and zoom-out using mouse wheel up. this is the opposite of what photoshop and windows photo viewer do.

i cannot seem to find out how to swap this so that zoom-out is mouse wheel down and zoom-in is mouse wheel up. is it possible and if so, how?

Invert camera controls did nothing. although that is an in-station setting anyway.

I don't think there's any way to change that in-game. Your best bet is to use some sort of software to swap scroll up and scroll down, but that will be inconvenient for all other uses of the scroll wheel.

An alternative way of zooming in Eve is to hold both mouse buttons down and move the mouse itself forward and back. Try it!

But that is still the opposite of how zooming functions in every other application.

Like the OP, I find it quite bizarre that EVE works like this.

You get used to it quickly.

I agree it is backwards from everything else ever and there should be an option to invert it.

Oraac, you should know better.

We are talking about EVE and CCP. Not everything is very obvious why they did it in way "x" instead of the usual "y".

As for OP:

Don't believe that the option exist, but you will get used to it very quickly.

I honestly forgot it was backwards, I guess that shows just how used to it you'll get

This.

Kind of the same here, never realized it was backwards at all.

Using both button zoom sometimes corrupts the display. Thought it was my old system playing up but does it on my new pc too...
