Please stop giving beer to the Hamsters and act. "Yeah, yeah, we know, but is funny to see drunk Hamsters" is not a answer.

I cleared the cache ingame via

pressing ESC - reset settings - clear all caceh files

I haven't figured out a way to get into Corp and Alliance channel yet. But you can get into all the other channel you had open by re-typing them in the search window and hitting join.

I was able to create a chat channel, invite someone to it, and read what they were typing, but they were not able to see what I typed.

Fleet is working just fine.

The specified proxy or server node (863615) is dead.

Nothing mentioned fixes it. Sad to think that this game is programmed in such a way that you can't re-direct people to another node just for a chat channel.

Cleared cache, restarted. No effect.

I do not have anything but local. Kinda hurts in RVB to have no channel access.

Relogged 10x - problem still there. Unable to talk to anyone not in Local.

I'm a jerk.  Get used to it.

I had the same. Restarted 1/2 dozen times, then cleared the cache. Seems to be ok now.

Not sure what fixed it, the 6th restart or the cache or both. (Maybe none of the above...)

This works to enter chat, but If I type something, no one else in chat can see it. I have rebooted x number of times...yadda yadda nothing works.

I also tried joining Public Channels and rebooting and it still failed.

Guess I play tomorrow cause I will not be flying in a war without corp or alliance or fleet channels.

Clearly the mice have fallen asleep on the wheel. Everything from a defrag to clearing out my game stuff, none of it worked.

Actualy the Public Channel thing works. Here is how it is done, cause the previous instructions don't explain it well.

Open the Chat Channel. TYPE in a channel name you know exists. Like your Corps Public channel etc. Click Join. It puts you in the channel, but you can't Type.....you get the same errror Close the CLient. Open the Client again, and you will have Corp, Alliance and the public you joined. You will need to manually add your other 20 intel channels.

This works. I did it on two accounts.

Confirm that this worked for me. Thanks for explaining it better.
