Character Creator Enforces Unrealistic Beauty Standards?

Yesterday I made my 11th account (all paid for with cash, you're welcome CCP) and today started up the character creator to make another mining alt. I thought to myself "hey, I don't have any characters that look like me. That would be a cool thing to do", so I get to work sculpting an "Space-Avatar" that bears a resemblance to my person; almost immediately I find that this is downright impossible.

There are a few hairstyles depicting various stages of male-pattern baldness, but none with the spotty growth and combover that convey the same lack of confidence and grace in aging that I carry with me. I put the "scarring" slider up to 3, but found that it did not come anywhere near the level of acne scarring resulting from decades of junk food and regular sodas that is so endemic in the MMO population. Then, the most egregious violation: I put the "Muscularity" slider at 0% and the "Weight" slider at 100%, and found that this only turns my character from Roided-up Bodybuilder to Professional Swimmer; making a "Space-Character" with anything resembling my rubenesque-physique is downright impossible.

I believe that a beergut slider needs to be implemented as welll as an acne slider and a neckbeard one too.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Why would capsuleers have any of these issues?

I've seen plenty of ugly avatars. Horrendous ones, in fact. If anything, the creator enforces unrealistic ugly standards.

As a Gallente, I was shocked to read that there are no ugly Caldari. Shocked

I agree that a wider range of character models would be nice to have. Goofy looking characters are the best characters.

Yes, because 23,000 years in the future all of the immortal, egomaniac capsuleers will still want to be ugly even with the technology at their disposal

Space Healthcare is amazing nowadays.

Using a weapon as a deterrent in a diplomatic situation is only viable when you have proven that you have deployed it in the past and are willing to use it in the future.

Where are all the space fatties?!

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

Considering your clone can be reshaped within the base racial specifications at will, no capsuleer would be cursed with being ugly unless they chose to be that way. Perhaps a capsuleer might choose to be ugly, to blend in when visiting a station. But when people are born, it's likely the parents can alter the child to look the way they want. At least, if they're wealthy. I assume most of the poor human trash inhabit the planets beneath us.
