i keep seeing the phobos with 2 medium armor reppers on battle clinic but that doesnt seem right. wouldnt you want a full passive tank? http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/5363-Phobos-Buffered-Tank.html this is the fit that has the best reviews but i cant seem to think that is the best out there. any ideas from personal experience etc.?

When you engage a fleet in 0.0 it normally is quite large and then you use the max EHP (passive) setup.

Some people like to sit on the gate all day and/or just want to catch single ships/smaller fleets then they usually use repper setups. Also used in low-sec (hint: gate guns)
The repper setups are also MORE AGILE!

I've also seen some mixed setups (also with small reppers) to top up the armor after a fight or boost it during the fight.

- Usually the passive setup is totally ok
- If you don't have logis and expect lesser damage enemies, use reppers.

When you learn that battleclinic is full of terrible, terrible fittings, you'll be much happier with your existance.
Failheap challenge has the same problem but nowhere near as bad.

Maybe it was not that clear as i thought it would.
My former post just mentioned cases you could try repper fittings.

Just use buffer fittings in 95% of all cases. (others are just niche cases where one could argue about the sense)
