All those alliances in the bottom right are pretty much all allied with each other and yes Solar fleet is getting kicked out.

Not sure what the bottom right corner has to do with goons or test.... Any explanation would be much appreciated.

I'm not really updated on the 'other' null sec politics, but is raiden(dot) a new recarnation of the former bob?

As far as I understood human history, there were allways times of large empires (Egypt, Rome, Alexander the great, Mayans, etc.). None of them exist anymore. Some of them were too large to be governed effectively, some fell due to new technologies they didn't have, some were brought down by the greed of the rulers. Again others fell by revolutions, plagues or were just conquered by another superior force.
The aftermath of a fallen empire was allways a time of small entities eating up each other and growing over time; to new empires.

Who knows? Perhaps the New-Eden western space is about to fall or facing a super powerblock (Goon-Test?). Perhaps the southwest is about to form a powerblock of their own. Nobody knows for sure in advance.

Kinda agreeing with you.

I think there needs to be more entities other than Corporations and Alliances.

Corps should take systems
[insert entity name] should take constellations
[insert entity name] should take regions
[insert entity name] should take Quadrants (N/S/E/W)

System fights could be limited to sub-cap
Constellations could be limited to sub-cap + Dreadnoughts
Regions could be limited to Dreadnoughts + Carrier
Quadrants could be limited to Cap + Titan

You make it so if you control a quadrant, you control taxes and political power downwards to regional control; and likewise for all descending levels of power. This way corporations are keen to get people to join them, but will not spread themselves too thinly and attempt to control too many systems, because they could easily lose power of systems. Constellation control will be keen for corporations to take systems as this will increase their wealth and power. Regional control is similar, as is Quadrant control.
If you control a quadrant, that's pretty much stating that anyone who is not 'doing their job' of controlling the regions can be 'removed by force'; whether that's taxing them to infinite amounts, or ganging up on them through warfare is a political choice. If you are too harsh on them, the PR disaster would be loss of faith by descending entities and other entities in other quadrants. Poor management of any system/constellation/region/quadrant will not go unnoticed. That's null-sec.

Low-sec should consist of:

Pirate/mercenary entities
Bounty-hunting entities
Factional warfare entities

Pirate/mercenary entities should be paid money by system, constellation, regional and quadrant entities to attack opposing entities traveling between high & low, plus; they should be paid for escort duties by corporations moving fleets/transports to null from high-sec. Again, politics and under-hand/back-door/dark alleyway tactics would play a large part here.

Bounty-hunting entities are self defining, and should be nomadic groups appeasing contracts issued for any character with a bounty. "don't blame me for shooting your ship, I just work here".

Factional warfare entities are what they are, but would be interesting if they had more impact on agents and security status for the systems in low sec - but believe that Pirate/mercenary entities should have more impact on a system security level.

Just some thoughts that have been rambling around inside my head lately - I just figured having Alliances and corporations was kinda meaningless as it isn't defined.

Controlling an Alliance of 20 corporations, 5000 pilots and the logistics thereof is monumental - but controlling 1 entity which controls a Quadrant is easier, but not less risky.

If we then factor in DUST and PI, the cross platform political intentions and implications grow.
