hey all. on a low budget atm till i start a new job, would this computer run eve?

You are good to go. Might want to avoid blobs tho.

Running EVE is easy. Running eve with all the graphics settings turned to high - not so easy.

I'm not exactly normal when it comes to tech (anything 4 years old gets given to friends to make way for the latest stuff), so I might be out of line here, but:

- gaming systems don't need to cost the earth
- calculate your cost as your purchase price / 4
- go big on RAM first, then CPU, hard drive space and last but not least video card
- build yourself if it suits your personality.
- Ready built systems are perfectly fine for people with no desire or aptitude to build but don't just buy the most expensive model!

It's 2013. Build aroud this:

- 8 ~ 16 Gb of RAM
- quad core CPU
- 1TB disk space
- best graphics card you can afford from last years generation of cards

Seems heavy to your current machine, but:

- in 4 years time you'll just want a newer video card
- you'll find games / applications require 4 gig for themselves

Oh and run for the hills if anyone suggests 32bit OS
