I have been training my large hybrid guns to t2. Seven days left so far. I was wondering what kind of tank I should try for? I have usually stuck to smaller ships up to this point, t2 cruisers and frigs and the like. I have little experience with BSes outside of my Raven I use for missions. I intend to use this thing as a very high end PVP ship only to be brought out in large gang roams and for the occasional station game in jita. I want it to be able to tear through a smaller ship fast, a BS at a decent pace, while still maintaing a tank that will allow me to last long enough to dock up if need be and sustain myself in a gang fight long enough to deal out some decent damage.

a blaster rokh should be shield tanked. You'll want different fits for station games and roaming. For station games you'll want to max out the effective EHP and you won't need a propulsion mod. Your lowslots will be damage control, magstabs, and trackingenhancers. You won't be able to hit frigates unless they aren't moving, you simply won't have the tracking to do it, but cruisers should be no problem. A big question will be if you plan to use midslots to fit your own tackle. This will make a big difference in how you use the ship. Consider using an XL ASB for your roaming fit.

Large gang roams generally have no use for blaster BS unless it's an all blaster BS gang, and even then (generally) a Megathron is more useful due to free midslots, tracking and speed. Killing small stuff means controlling the target (webs, scrams etc) and good tracking. Rokh doesn't have the free slots for webs or scrams due to needing them for its shield tank, nor does it have the free slots for tracking comps which you need to actually apply your non-tracking bonused BS size blaster dps.

Can it work? sure it can but on the whole it doesn't necessarily make sense and it certainly won't work as an allround ship for roams etc.
