Trying to run eve but the client will not recognize my nvidia chip. The only option that appears in the settings menu is for the intel hd graphics family chip.

The laptop has Nvidia geforce gt 630m chip, all drivers are up to date.

the nvidia has been made the standard chip on my system, profile has been made aswell, yet the nvidia chip won't even appear in my graphics card options...

any help here to fix this?
i had to reinstall my laptop from scratch and i know that the nvidia chip ran in Eve. so don't know what's the issue is right now.

I have the exact same issue. I have an Alienware laptop with an Intell 4000 and a GeForce GTX 675M. I have the settings in the nVidia control panel to have Eve use the nVidia (manually added the EXE files). But, when in the game it only shows the Intel card.

I don't seem to be having any display issue, but I don't know for sure it is using the nVidia driver or the Intel as it never displays the nVidia in game.

I have actually heard of other people having the same issue, but no one has answered the question, which I find annoying. I see devs answer on other posts which have what would appear to be simpler issues that just other users could answer, but I haven't seen a dev answer any of the posts on this issue.

Can a GM take a look at this? Inquiry via Intel also does not yield any results

I too have the same issue with a GT540M, the card just below yours. If I recall, a Dev did reply to a thread about a year ago now that said basically the game IS using the Geforce card, the client just reads the default mobo setting and says it's using the Intel. You can make sure the EVE client is running with the nVidia using the nVidia control panel to set the program to run with the dedicated GPU. If that says EVE is set for the card, that's what goes and EVE is lying.
