Yes I understand the issue with tiers and the massive amount of work required to unfubar them entirely but thats not the point at the moment.

Current issue is that when somone says T3 the other readers usually think Tech 3 instead the of Tier 3 as the speaker may have intended.

I purpose we use the letter:

R

Which leaves T for tech.

Any thoughts?

Doesn't matter what you call it. Stupid people will still mix it up.

I had to kick a member of my corp after he asked what kind of subsystems the new T3 BCs would have. Couldn't take the stupid anymore.

Simple: tier 3 = tier 3, T3 = tech 3

What gets me is people saying it over voice chat as 'Tee three' instead of tech or tier and then expect me to understand they either meant tech 3 (or 2 as the more usual case) or tier 3.

Get a whistle, whenever they use abbreviations in voice chat for 4 letter words, blow it down the mic at them, they will stop quick ;)

Or they will just mute you, or kill you(ingame). You could always try though.

You reminded me once of a bad operation I had, scout reported patrol on other side I told them to all jump and they refused by shooting me. This doesnt help the fact the fleet was already being chased by another one.

Well lets just say my pod had a well enough head start to slip away while the rest of the grunts got slaughtered by real pvpers that sandwidthed them in. I think only two other pods got out of that.

As for my dog, yes he does it does it all the time he doesnt want to bark out the whole thing, it annoys me sometimes.

To be fair to them, when people refer to 'tee three" most of EVE understands that it's Tech III stuff that they're referring to. I think it's only furries who have this confusion Big smileLol

According to furries, I'm not one of them.
Too many spaceships and mechs not enough fuzzy people in my gallery apperantly.

Also the call sign did originate from Mech Warrior and ive used it in every sci fi game since then.

Also read carefully, They said Tee three and meant tier 3 not the other way around.

"We've advanced a Tech level!"

Putting some Megalomania quotes aside, if anything it should be "rates"... so a Mael is a 1st rate, Pest is 2nd rate, Phoone is a third rate?

Tiers is awesome though

t3 = tier 3. T3 = tech 3

hmm

T1/2 for tech 1 tier 2
T1/3 for tech 1 tier 3

It knows what you think.

I would be fine with

There is always Roman numerals

TIII= Tech 3
T3 = Tier 3

But that would just be annoying. Only reason I suggest it is the nice little colored corner that has the II and III for Tech 2 and Tech 3

Or

T3 = Tech 3
T-3 = Tier 3

uhm ...

as one has to skill to level 1/2/3,
it seems that lvl would be the obvious choice.

Of course, that's a definite no go because it would be too easy and ... obvious.
