That doesn't really have anything to do with mining. I could be chatting with someone in real life while afk mining or on facebook or whatever. I don't see a difference.

The afk mining mindset is instilled during the first few weeks in the game, once someone has become a miner they will stay that way. This disease must be nipped in the bud. I believe we must gank new players anywhere outside of noob systems.

Those who respond with the correct mindset should provided with ships, skillbooks, support etc and invited into right thinking corps...those who wish to continue mining have two choices, either join an approved corp with punitive tax rates to fund our reclamation of high sec or risk repeated ganking.

Only by starting early can we rid Eve of this menace.

What menace? These "noob" players are the future of this game. They breathe new life into a game that is a decade old and with new subscriptions leads to more incentive for CCP to keep the servers up and more development to make this game even more enjoyable for the broader player base.

I have much more respect for a newer player than the likes of you. They at least can show a willingness to ease into PVP later on or better yet, provide me with the modules I need to keep my ships fitted and working. Who knows? Maybe that new player will stray into low sec in a Drake or something else eager to explore the harsh realities of this universe.

But that will all be for nothing if all you do is prey upon the ignorant. They probably don't even know what a Battlecruiser IS let alone how to combat someone IN one. Instead of spending your energy preying upon those who not only cannot shoot back but don't KNOW how to why not teach them?

Oh that's right. You are ranked number 82,952 on battleclinic. You have 45 kills with ALL of them being mining barges or tech 1 transports. You are a coward. You don't even engage COMBAT ships. Why don't you stray down to Nandeza and pay me a visit. You don't even need to flip a can or worry about your precious CONCORD.

This thread serves no purpose. You serve no purpose. And I'm adding you to one of my combat alts and will be paying you a visit sometime very soon.

Might I direct you to a more constructive way of countering afk mining?
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=174751&find=unread

Bottom line is to provide more then one ore in an asteroid, but when a "layer" change takes place and you dont react, you get ore which is a "scrappy" variant of the ore with only 10-20% of the yield.
Makes mining more intersting and afk mining will bring much less.

Of course, if you just want to gank people, go ahead. But stop writing those delusional ideas of a new order and do the dirty work yourself. Blink

I used to mine, afk even. Now I gank miners. So no.

We don't need miners to fund us, our shareholders have done a tremendous job. Mynna's contribution alone covers all the ganking we have ever done twice over (we have killed about 200 miners by last count).

Also, we don't want to pay bribes to miners to save them from their own afk play style. You have a keyboard, use it or lose your ship.

After weeks of reading this drivel I have come to the conclusion that the entire bumptard movement is just a front to keep miners wasting their bounty ISK on disposable bumptard alts instead of putting them on real pirates instead.

So it sounds like i might have gone a bit to far with this idea, perhaps posting after lots of wine wasnt the best idea Big smile

Might be better to persuade them with words rather than blowing them up first! I do like the idea of training them to gank tho.

Only if you do it in a noob system, outside of that you can do what you like

You can get banned for this?

Not as far as i know (note: if you do get banned i take no responsibility!)

Just so you are aware of the rules, targeting rookies in rookie systems is strictly prohibited. Do not do it.

Whats so sad is the big talk miner bumpers really have 0 skills at true pvp and real combat. If bumping was removed there entire way of life would be gone. Exploiting game mechanics to pick on newbs.... You guys are truly and epic bunch.

Ive never seen people so angry at a certain style of gameplay. You are but a handful (the order) and eve is a very very big place. While i applaud your creation of content, I also seem to be detecting tears. Tears of another sort. The kind that are usually unavailable on the market. Griefer Tears.

So far it would seem as if James 317 and his crew have made more posts than the miners they bump. They then go about mashing at the keyboard till there fingers are nubs and make crazy posts on the forums calling for ganks. You do know why the ganking stopped right? and why you guys have moved to bumping?

I dont know if this is an intended feature of your created content, or just frustration that what you are trying to do is not going as planned. But i dont like it, James needs to get a grip on his "agents" cause from where i stand. He is no leader, Because a leader wouldn't let his agents post this mess on the forums.

I lost a ship to them while in conversation with them. So not AFK and actively being social are not enough to save you from a gank.

So no, they are not saving anyone from anything except a heavy wallet.

Report them as isk scammers, move to another system and wait til CPP listens to the majority and drops the ban hammer.

How so? I enjoy tears as much as anyone but we have an opportunity to persuade new players to do something interesting rather than shoot rocks and then leave cos its dull as **** or become entitled dicks who think they should be able to shoot rocks without anyone bothering them.

While we're doing some persuading, how can we persuade you to mind your own business?

Not an exploit tbh.

This Bumping of Miners has been in effect for years, it's just that now since there;s a movement behind it do people take notice.

Noobs, beginner's, brand new players should be left along in regards to ganks as they are the future of this game and ganker, Miner, Pirate, Merc, Trader, etc have at least two things in common, we play Eve and we would rather not see it die.

Firstly, they are not exploiting a game mechanic. Bumping is perfectly legal.

Secondly, the entire miner bumping is there to extort ISK from miners. Whatever is posted on their site is complete drivel and anybody that believes what is written is a moron. Most of the supporters are faceless NPC alts, to terrified of their own shadows and therefore will never reveal their main.

If mining is such a big problem to them then they need unzip their balls and go on the offensive, whether it be wars or suicides. Actions speak louder than words.

As for the OP. Don't be an idiot. Gank people all you want, but don't start organizing a concerted effort against new players alone. They have noway to counter or deal with suicides at their SP level. People don't seem to realize that if new players are targeted like this on mass the heavy hand of CCP might be brought to bear once again like they did by adding the Sisters EPIC ARC to the list of safe zones.

Focus your efforts on established industrial players make them work for what they are trying to do. A newbie is mining for himself to make isk to fund his gameplay. Cut that off and he will leave. Suiciding an established corp of older members will have a bigger impact on industry if that is what your truly looking for.

and now thirdly... it seems a lot of people believe that we pay way to little for our combat ships. So why not drive prices up by killing miners. Your mentality in this regard is astonishing... since it is the same people that wants miners dead that complain of about ship prices.

Your entire "movement" goes too far. Here's a new player's perspective:

I've only been around a couple of weeks. It doesn't take anyone long to figure out what you minerbumpers are really all about. I have to agree with pretty much every one else. You're no different than lowbie gankers in any other MMO. Just a bunch of griefers who can't hack it in real PvP, so you go after newbies.

I'll let you in on a little secret that took me all of 2 days of playtime to figure out. Most AFK miners are cash cow alts. But then again, these aren't your real targets anyway. Any derp who can lock a target can blow an AFK miner out of the sky. No, your real targets are the newbie miners who worked their asses off for their first mining barge and are afraid to lose it to you idiots. Those are the players you troll in local chat with your mindless drivel and extort mining permits from. Those are the real tears you feed on, not the AFKers.

After reading multiple threads about your antics, it's clear that no one else gives a crap about your manifesto except your fellow wannabes. I can appreciate corporate raiders, thieves, and liars. But you minerbumpers are a breed all your own.

Picking on noobies is bad umkay, by all means recruit them and show them the fun that can be had in PvP, but also show them the PvE side and how it can be more fun working as a team rather than solo (a fault with a lot of hisec corps, everybody does their own thing, no fleet PvE).

Show them the paths, let them make their own choice, then gank them when they have an exhumer (and their friends) if they chose mining.
