Hi,

I need help of all the other Droneship users who
fly missions and plexes with the Droneboats...

What is your expirience with the new AI how did they react and how to
save my little drones <3

First i thougt
1.jump in (AI agros me)
2.Drones out (AI aggros Drones)
3.Drones in (AI aggros me)
4.Drones out (AI stays on me)
now here comes my problem...

after the drones now arrive at the enemy the compleatly switch back to my drones and kill them ...

you guys have some idea so that i get an

Hope i get some good tips and not only flame ...

I'll bite.

1.) Set up a seperate overview tab that only shows NPC and Gates, Sun, Stations (for when you need to gtfo). That is all you need to see until the last rats of a pocket are destroyed. You need to be able to keep an eye on ships droping lock on you.

2.) Fly in. Get Aggro, check for groups aggroing, make sure your drones stay with one group at a time if there's no full room aggro. (Keybinding Attack orders can help massively, even with focus fire individual drones will go off on their own at times.)

3.) Order your drones to attack by using your keybinding/clicking engange target all the time, never let the drone AI do that for you. They will fly off and do their own thing. Getting aggro from groups that were aggrod by your drones first is a pain in the b*tt.


4.) Keep an eye on the drone interface for damage and immediatelly recall using a keybinding. Clicking takes too long.

5.) When drones get aggro, hit the recall button asap then look for ships dropping lock on you on your overview. Wait until you have aggro again from these ships before releasing your drones again then primary these ships if the situation permits.


Waiting for them to aggro means getting locked, double and triple check that on your overview all the time - sometimes you will have to get quite close to these rats and apply significant damage to make them aggro you again.

DO NOT RELEASE YOUR DRONES IF YOU ARE NOT BEING LOCKED BY ALL SHIPS THAT TOOK SHOTS AT THEM BEFORE RECALLING .YOUR DRONES WILL BE PRIMARIED AGAIN INSTANTLY

I can not stress that point enough. Always double and triple check that you have aggro.

6.) Profit.

Works a treat, lost 2 drones so far and that was delibaretly to blitz DED sites.

use sentries, drones that need to move tend to be killed very fast. Use em when sentries cannot hit . Target painter doesnt seem to work , drones do get agroed. Tested again and again with a rattler , chances were the same. If your ship have a spare high slot fit a remote repper. It saves time and drones many times.

Most efficient way to check for the agro is to notice a yellow box on any rat and not a red. Expect for agro on drones. Drone boats are still viable , but not as relaxed as it were and also with a crappy laggy drone interface to use. (Even with keybindings still it lags to commad enough for bleeding damage)
