Just started exploring today, ran thru several systems found many wormholes but just one gravity site which didnt worth mining. Could u guys share some tips on how to find more hacking/archeology sites in highsec? Thanks.

Keep trying. They're random, so there's no particular place they'll be.

You probably want to find some quieter systems to scan (though, so does every other explorer)

Thanks. Do they spawn anytime of the day or just respawn at server restart?

A site respawns elsewhere as soon as it is completed. (and the exact definition of 'elsewhere' is not known')

The thing with finding unclaimed scan sites is that it's hard in hisec because everyone else has got to them before you. If you want an abundance of sites you'll want to go to lowsec in time, the sites there are better anyway. In the mean time the star map has tools for seeing which systems are least populated - they're more likely to have unclaimed sites.

Unclaimed sites?...no such thing. If you find something and someone else is in there try to get the loot before they do. In low sec shoot them down and loot them too.

This.

Given that someone else is already running the site doesn't mean he owns it.

Just go in and race him to the juicy part (loot / hacking / analyzing) and laugh at him when you win.

Go for quiet 'off the main pipe' areas which have systems with no stations in them.

They're just random...

But i'd suggest you learn the player skills you need to make the move to low sec - how to read the star map to pick out dangerous places to steer clear of, how to make safe spots to hide in, how to use bookmarks to sneak out of stations, how to spot someone looking for you - and try there, too. An exploring ship with a cloak and maybe a couple of stabs is the best kind of ship you can hope to have to live in lowsec safely, and to be able to sneak in your complex-running ship.

Skills :

Astrometrics
Astrometric Rangefinding
Astrometric Pinpointing
Astrometric Acquisition

Ships :

T1 Frigate : Probe, Heron, Imicus, Magnate
T2 Covert Ops : Cheetah, Buzzard, Helios, Anathema

Modules:

Sisters Core/Expanded Probe launcher
Sisters Core/Combat scanners

The skills will speed up and increase the accuracy of your scanning, along with being able to use more probes.

Various ships have bonus's that increase the strength of your probes, the same way the sisters probes and launchers do.

Checkout the many exploration guides on YouTube, Jonny Pew is a good place to start.

Hi-sec sites churn faster than sites in low and null sec purely because of the number of people doing exploration in the different areas.

Nice little list to keep hold of, thanks Witchking42.

JonnyPew is a very good place to start, as he shows the best fit for an all purpose Vexor, however how you fit your ship is up to you.

I'm planning on making a "poor man's Tengu" which is a Corax, fitted with missiles and exploration gear, and a good cloak.

Always have a good cloak in case someone decides to zoom and blitz your ship you spent ages on developing.
