Random Questions about FW 2013

Just some random questions that I would like answered about the FW landscape for 2013 Lol


  1. Where is this fabled Large Plex that CCP keeps talking about? Will we see more of it in the next patch?
  2. Will the Amarr and Caldari start working together for the betterment of each other's warzone? Or do both sides still think they're better than each other?
  3. Why are the Amarr losing systems again especially after a resurgence of the Amarr in the past couple months and opening up several new stargates in the warzone?
  4. Does the solution of having a few more rats to shoot in a plex help decrease the farming at all?
  5. When will Don Bolster come back and take his rightful place as Czar of the Caldari Militia and lead the charge again?
  6. Will there ever be another GavinGoodrich capable of leading semi-public fleets for the Caldari? Or was he just an anomaly and the Gallente semi-public fleets are more the exception to the rule on this side of the warzone? Really miss those big fleet fights back in early 2012
  7. Does anyone in their right mind actually believe Gallente can take all of the systems? Apparently many in Gallente do. I certainly do not. Certainly not for trying though.

1) Good Question....next
2) Amarr and Caldari have started a group channel to co-op fleets / roams, but it does not get to much use, seems to be mostly amarr in it, maybe we need to spread the word
3) Ego....different views, not working together, a lot of the Aset guys (some great PVPrs up there btw) looked down on people living in Egg or Kam, right / wrong, good / bad it created a divide, and Aset didnt get as much help from the whole of amarr as it should, now I think a few people have stopped all together, and its been a mess :-(
4) I liked having all the rats better, gave me something to do and got me tags....so boring just orbiting a button for 15mins.... I wish they would have kept plexes the same (with amount of rats) but required you to kill them, but have the timer tick down even if rats are alive, but it pause with 5seconds left if any are still alive, till you finish them off.
5) Dont know who Don Bolster is.....
6) GavinGoodrich used to fly Caldari Militia? great guy, I learned quiet a bit flying along side him in Nulli Secunda both for PVE and PVP. and he is one hell of a highsec hauler ganker too! Anyways, we have plans to maybe do one public fleet roam a week, but mostly to do recruiting from 24th
7) I dont think they can pull it off, or minnies....but we will see

I think two of your questions in particular raise one of the issues which Caldari and Amarr face in Faction Warfare.

Putting on a show requires people with leadership, willingness and the ability to be bold. It is almost like a SirMolle thread that pops up from time to time.

Will SirMolle return and create an alliance which can rival Goons, Test and others?

If you feel you have what it takes and want to see this on the other side, why not change?

Don't leave the future of your Faction Warfare enjoyment up to somebody else.

1. maybe it is mystery plex? aleast there is several mystery dungeons around EVE
2. there is no reason for cooperation
3. no point to farm on Amarr side
4. no
5. no one cares
6. i doubt, who wants to FC farming fleets
7. they can take all systems only if Caldari lets them take those and this may happen sooner than no one thought.

FW is over, go to farm isk on gallente / minmatar side.

It exists, its just a very infrequent spawn. When CCP built the new plex tiers, they turned minor plexes into rookies, regulars into smalls, majors into mediums, and unrestricted plexes into larges. Thus, the reason you aren't seeing any larges is because they're only spawning at the rate of the old unrestricted plexes.

Nothing is locked down for the next patch, CCP's still on vacation following the release of Retribution. They'll work on the next release plan once they get back into the office following the new year.

I thought it was a valid question :) I mean with the new stargates opening up and the big fleets Amarr can put up in US TZ, why are they still losing systems?

1. Minmatar have a 40% numbers advantage
2. Minmatar have a 75-150% funding advantage
3. Minmatar have Gallente allies helping out
4. Minmatar have pirate allies helping out
5. Big fleets don't win systems, in fact, big fleets lose systems if you don't have a significant numbers advantage at your side, because big fleets take people away from plexing.

Been in Amarr FW for less than 2 months, but our corp is in the 3rd Alliance...

I'm also not sure of what resurgence , Minis are still out numbering us by some margin.

The snowball effect of a race getting T3-4 and the other is stuck in T1-2 just makes the whole system worse, I actually put an alt in mini land and made 900.000 LP in 3 days, there is no way I could do that on the Amarr side. At least I have 20 SFI's in my hanger ready to use. But what I am trying to say is that not only are you out numbered you are also finacial so much worse off with the LP that A) you cant afford similar ships to those you fight against and B) you sertainly can't afford to put LP in the iHubs.

Last but not least FW is still more for the pve'er than the pvp'er

If I was not pvp'er by nature I would just switch side, so thank you for comming and pissing all over us. You have the Blob, you have the LP. Do you fell good now?

    There is more to keeping and holding than large fleets. I haven't logged in for a week due to Xmas stuff, but certainly the collapse in the Amarr warzone was caused by overcommitting to certain systems and letting deplexing slide. Whether this is due to farming alts in Minmatar, I can't say - was too busy PVPing around Aset to notice what was going on around Halmah area.

    The timezone imbalance between Amarr and Minmatar is a challenge for the Amarr to overcome. It was a factor, for instance, in Aset falling. We would have a presence there at all hours, but it was dominant in the AU and EU timezones, and we got a lot of fights in the EU and US timezones. But that was a concerted campaign, and certainly we were forced to bleed off and deplex the 7 systems around Aset, which got as high as 70% contested.

    More generally, there is going to be a lot of this. Systems will flip back and forth because there isn't a great reason to deplex every system your militia owns, all the time, so systems will begin creeping up towards 60%-plus. That makes them vulnerable from a day or two of concerted pushing.

    I would say that in the next week, as the holidays come to an end, we will see a pushback. Unless of course, I am wrong, and there is a mass of Minmatar farming alts, like Gunship's, making 900K LP's and then whining about how poor their Amarr mains are while sloughing their noses into the trough and snorting up the rortbucks. Then crying about how their systems get contested too much.

    I mean...the irony is so heavy its almost leady.

    I killed so many Minmatar this month I hit wife aggro. Shocked. It's not a fifteen minute timer. CryCry

    I will also point out that between the emergency patch (oct 22) and retribution I did not see a lot of Minmatar offensive plexing.
