I had pulled back into HiSec to keep my account training and running missions just to keep myself occupied, in hopes that I could free up the time one day to get back to playing the game I enjoyed ( Mostly high end exploration). As long as there was something to do in game that didnt annoy the crap out of me every time I logged in, I was ok playing a neutered version of EvE to pass the time.

Playing a neutered version of the game and being intentionally annoyed? Not really good for that.

There's also more to the game than just second-job null and boring grindfest hisec.

My alliance has been chugging along for years, with no goals, highly casual, with a pretty broad scope of gameplay. At the core we are lowsec griefers, but we have industrialists, mission runners (haven't tried them since the nerf, tbh), and even get to Incursions if we are motivated.

More recently, howeer, now we are attempting to hunt bounties by allying in wars against groups with large bounties. Its far from any kind of CTA-thing, whoever is on we take, and if we lose, we lose, if people have to leave mid-roam, that's fine, life goes on.

I think you need to find a group that is more casual. EVE is really good at variety, you just need to find what matches and not just polarize yourself.

Can't wait to dual box my Dust toon and EVE toon on the same machine!

Pull my 5 accounts this morning. Not a drop in the bucket for CCP I am certain, and nothing will change.

I hope you all fly safe and continue to enjoy the game that is EvE, I have lost interest due to the constant ego driven changes that CCP makes while ignoring feedback from their paying customers.

I tried the new AI changes. It's nothing I can not adapt to, but to be honest I don't play to be "engaged" by mission pixels, I play to relax. If I want to micromanage with a **** poor interface, I can do that at work.

It's just not worth the aggravation.

Best of luck to you all and perhaps we will meet again.

That's what I keep Civilization V installed for. EVE was never inteded for relaxation.

But good luck anyway.

my 5 accounts

Found your problem. This is a game, not a job. I fail to see how people enjoy it with multiple accounts. I'm beginning to suspect that most do not.

Dude, I like got bingo with this post.

Anyway, how do you relax with 5 accounts?! And why don't you want to feel engaged by content, I mean you are playing a game.

There is nothing engaging about an AI. If I want engagement I get it from other players. Again, for the cheap seats, having no time for the real content leaves missions or mining, when those are annoying as hell it is time to go. One dedicated logi who is also my industrialist and three miners that I pull out from time to time when I feel like melting rocks is not a stretch, and it does not even take a lot of concentration if set up properly.

I am not unhappy with the game overall, if I had the time to put into it that I used to I doubt I would have even noticed the changes. Given my currently restricted activities and time in game, I did notice.

Honestly, would you pay money to be annoyed? Best to go at least for a while and let it all evolve a bit more.

No that is not fine. There is absolutely no reason why those people, or anyone else, should have his stuff over me. So **** you, **** the rest of you, and **** your mothers for having you.

I should have his stuff.

I think you are mixing things up. You stop playing EVE because you don't have time anymore. Fair enough. It happens to most people at some time. But you don't need to use minor changes in EVE as an excuse. Just be honest with yourself and you will feel better about it and we wouldn't have to read threads like this on the forums.

On another note, you seem to have a very limited view of how to play EVE leaving only mission and mining for the "cheap seats". If you bothered to look at other changes lately you would have noticed a lot more casual friendly content have been available for example in FW. And not too long ago we got a vastly improved scanning system buffing exploration in all of EVE. Threr are many more examples to this if you cared to look, for example, the rebalancing and buffing of frigs and cruisers to make them cheap and viable for PvP and easy to fund too (in particular within FW).

Agree with you there. It is a case of "break it today, fix it later". Before the AI change, they should have overhauled drones and their UI and AI. And only THEN released the new NPC AI. Then, the change wouldn't be nearly as unpleasant.

This is everything that needs to be said in this thread. Simple.

as long as it was entertaining in the long run

Question, what the hell possessed you to make a forum post saying you are leaving, especially one that you were unhappy with one little thing and decided that you didnt have enough to to go from braindead droning to braindead targeting abd say that you didnt have the time to adapt to it, especially when most of the adapting would have been skills training while you dont even play.

also, why do you need a thread, another player going, happens all the time, especially people who dont have enough time to play
