How about festive items that do not require charges to operate. Only functional seasonally or other special in game events.

holo-emitter / festive laser turret


Modified laser turret with emitter diodes capable of displaying a Laser-show, and other festive light shows randomly in space. Also with the capability of displaying festive messages on planet atmosphere or moon surface. Powered by ships power grid with cool down of few minutes between uses.

Plasma based Fireworks ( smart-bomb alike festive device)

Radiates an omnidirectional pulse of fireworks from the ship that causes surrounding vessels warp trail shift colors for 20 seconds as secondary effect ( range 10Km). Powered by ships power grid.
