ok so whats the deal with the topic ? You want a "omg thats impossible to do" comment ? o soz been there done that , also trickier are escrow scams. You should try that then of course come and tell us how good you are Twisted

The purpose is that I want to get a group of traders together so that we can manipulate things in mass... think of it as a fleet version of wallet pvp.

7 billion is for the majority of players quite a bit and even worth some effort, but the big problem I see here is lack of trust when picking random people of forums...

So you maybe bought up 30k Warrior II's a couple of days ago?

Soooo 30k at say 450k per unit is 13.5b outlayed.

Lets speculate that the ones listed at 789k two days ago were your first listings, if this is the case that would yield a profit of say 10b if you were able to sell at that price.

Buuuut, the average price for the day after (ie 25th) was only 590k (the purchase day the avergae was 450k so you weren't making profit then) which even if you took the complete volume of 13.4k units sold would only yield a profit of 1.9b'ish.

Current price is only 530k giving a 80k per unit profit, without doing any maths and taking into account current volume sold today you're not making more than the 1.9b'ish you might of made the previous day soooooo ....you probably didn't make the 7b you claim to of made.

Granted my calcs are rough and maybe I'm trying to muddy the waters Twisted but it seems to me you got caught with a shitton of stuff and are looking for an out. Blink

Good on the math, Stigma... except that I used a large chunk of my stock in 3 major nullsec alliances via my alts... I am still sitting on a chunk of Warriors in Jita, but at this point I can sell those at a loss and still walk away 6b richer even after the loss.

I also convinced a couple of noobs to buy several thousand of them at an inflated price via this forum post, so that help too ;-) .

Well while Stigmans math is fancy it relies on stats immediately following a large market move. If you're familiar with this type operation then you know that the market data is almost always decently wrong.

That said 3 00 alliances buying up 20+k units of warrior 2s the day, or day after they're manipulated seems very far fetched. Any self respecting corp/alliance would just kick you for trying to scam your own team.

You should consider planning ahead on your buy next time. If instead of blowing your load all in 1 day, you bought a few k units a week prior and fished the market downward for a week or so, you would have spent far less isk and made far more.

It's fun when new players get their hands on lots of ISK an then they blow it in an instant.
+ they think they can manipulate veteran traders who probably invented all the techniques used today.

Well this is trade, sometimes you do lose and you learn.

Don't hurry up getting rid of the stock you have. Instead of posting on the forum you should've tried to force the market prices again. Now that other people found out, it will prove a lot harder.

Oh well, more ISK for the rest of us :D

("escrow scam" is a set expression in EVE: it refers to a class of scams that used the Escrow system [which was replaced by contracts in late 2006]; the expression you are looking for is "Marging trading scam". Now get off my lawn.)
