Corp Mgmt: can a director skill for more members?

Hi all.
I am director of a corp. The skill "Corporate Mgmt" says:
Quote:
Basic corporation operation. +10 corporation members allowed per level.

Notice: the CEO must update his corporation through the corporation user interface before the skill takes effect


It sounds, like I can skill for more members too, not only the CEO.
Is this correct?
If yes, what does the CEO need to do, that my skills count for the corp?

Basically, you train the Corp Management skills on your CEO character, and once they're up a bit, go into the Corp management page and edit details: update with my skills. Until you do that, the Corp will be limited to whatever you started it at. Every time you increase your skills, repeat the update, including for the Diplomatic Relations skill I believe.

Your actual skills as in SP are not taken into account at all. What the role of Director does is simply give you the same options and permissions as the CEO in regard to recruitment, POS management, the works. Good luck with your potentially interesting new position, or future hostile corporate takeover. Cool

It is possible for the CEO to temporarily hand the role over to another person (or character), that character then updates the corporation with their skills, and hands CEOship back. The allowed member count sticks until someone else updates it with their skills again.

Word of warning, EVE doesn't force the corp-upgrading character to hand back the CEO role in any way. Either the old CEO has to absolutely trust them, or the CEO needs to use shares to enforce the handover (which is however not 100% foolproof, you might not get to put your vote in before the other person goes postal on all your corp's everything.)

To be absolutely clear, only the CEO can upgrade the corp, not a director.
