Clone idea

I hear many high SP players complain about the cost of their clones... even if they are flying a cheap frigate with cheap fitting and cheap implants... the cost of getting podded can be quite high.

So, I propose a cheaper class of clones that function differently.

Currently when you purchase a clone, its ready to go instantly, if you get podded 1 minute after purchasing the clone, you lose no SP (provided you bought a good enough clone)- what I would propose would change that.

Basically the clone would take X time to be "mature":, if you get podded Y time after purchasing it, and Y is less than X, then the SP saved is equal to Y/X * your SP

If your clone has more SP, then X is longer
If you purchase a more expensive clone, then maturation time is shorter.
This could allow for relatively cheap clone replacement, as long as you don't get podded very often.

This would not replace the current "instaclones", but rather be a supplement to them - allowing the occasional podding without costing too much, but not replacing instaclones as you'll want to have an up to date instaclone while your cheaper clone is "maturing"

If you char has enough xp to make a clone expensive, relatively the isk spent isnt much.
