PLEX market heading for a crash....

sorry. maybe an inappropriate time to inject my belief that a game market will not behave the way people think (when accurate speculation in it can affect real money income of the game's creator)

Ahem. I disagree. People tend to not buy anything for the couple months after Xmas, as they are all paying off credit card bills. I think it's going to rise :)

I'm guessing it'll come back down around the end of February.

The trouble with 'these forums' is people have an obtuse, inability of agreeing to disagree. Myself included in that group at times.

One guy says the Plex Market will crash, another says it won't. I'm sure over then next 12 months we will all be right, just pick your month.

Increased demand from winter break should keep it at stable levels. I will self destruct my entire hangar if GTCs go below 1b.

It's amazing how many people will hope/expect plex to keep rising, it's way above actual worth already. Just like that guy who did market speculation with those implants and lost billions, I personally would start getting rid of my plexes by now because it's only going to go down, a lot.

Play EVE without paying cash (you still "pay" in other ways), not play EVE for free (i.e. without having to do anything).

If PLEX prices fall, everyone will make more accounts proportional to the fall in price, causing it to rise again.
Some mythical intervention by CCP is not the problem - YOU, the players are the problem.

Obvious market manipulation attempt is obvious... PLEX almost always wobbles when offers are on, power of 2, bundled offers etc. In any case look at it this way... if you bought high then worst case you PLEX you account rather than taking a big loss then its only an opportunity cost... (you have lost what you could have done with the ISK) but if you were stupid and if you put the farm on it and have nothing left then you're SOL.

My personal bet is that this is a temporary blip, prices drop and then rise again post Xmas* Though at hopefully a more sustainable level (~570 / 580)

PLEX prices long term will always be going up as long as ISK faucets outweigh ISK sinks, especially to the degrees that are present in EVE.

Remember, 90 day GTCs (3 PLEXes essentially) used to go for ~300m.
