Is there a way to turn down the brightness and glow effects of the sun? Setting Post Processing (Bloom effects) doesn't seem to help.

Nope.

The sun is always the same brightness regardless how far you are from it.....unless on the same "grid" as the sun itself. Then you can look right at it and see the plasma wobbling around :D

I understand why it performs the way it does but I have always felt that the sun is far too bright. In reality if you get out as far as 5-6 AU from the sun it would be little brighter than any of the other stars in the sky.

But hey if I were to push for a "reality" fix it would be to have the planets actually orbit the sun rather than just sit there.

But seeing as that would require a much higher server load and a near total revamping of the Bookmark system I won't hold my breath.Blink

When I lived in a wormhole i would put my pos at the furthest planet from the sun with a moon behind the planet so I could idle without blindness.
