The coolness factor was the marriage of LEGO and Eve, not possessing a blocky plastic model of a Rifter.

i was thinking more used coke cans turned into a rifter... that way it keeps the rust feeling...

When you creat something like this don't you have to buid it using there software. If so can the person who designed it not give out the instructions to build it, then whoever wants one can just buy the bricks to make it?

How disappointing. I was looking forward to a Lego Rifter as well. Yes, it is larger, has more pieces, and most likely more expensive, but at least it looked cooler than the tiny Deloreon.

Also, look at it this way. Back to the Future is old, outdated. Really will only appeal to older people (30s or so). Most of them don't play with Legos anymore. Eve it at least current, and would most likely appeal to the younger audience that DOES play with Legos still.

Lets look on the bright side...with the lego rifter being shot down...it opens doors for a lego New Megathron or New Vargur....hint hint wink wink.
