Hi everyone,

I would like assistance from anyone with the knowledge of how to change where EVE writes files, such as saving portraits, chat logs, or any other form of action which requires a lot of constant writing to a disk. Greatly appreciated and my SSD will thank you too.

the most sensible thing would be to change the location of the users directory from within windows

this will shift alot of the writing load from the ssd to your storage drive not only for eve but for many other things aswell, this is assuming that you are using windows ofcourse

Use junctions to redirect specific folders if needed.

Open a command prompt and type "mklink" for howto.

so first rename the EVE folder in Documents to Eve2 then

mklink /j "C:\Users\Username\Documents\Eve" "D:\Eve"

Move data from Eve2 to D:\Eve

Do the same for AppData\Local\CCP to move the cache/etc
