patching failing

hi just got pushed the patch but it's erroring
from launcher.exe.log

ImportError: No module named email.utils


any sugestions?

Exactly the same as i got.

Rather....annoying... :)



Edit : To clarify, this is 1.06 deployed today. I'd have loved to both read the patch notes (can admittedly be found easy enough) and report the problem in the thread you (apparently) made for it (not quite as easily found), but since neither of those links can be clicked on during patch deployment (an absolutely genial solution... really...), then i am left with posting in here.

Edit2 : And apparently the petition system is down for the count as well, all i get is errors when trying to submit.. ah well :)

I had the same issue.

It was easy to fix however. I just ran the repair tool in the main EVE folder and now both my clients work as smoothly as ever.
That should solve the issue for you too :)

It doesnt i have same problem and repair tool is having no effect still getting same log error message that OP is getting

That worked perfectly for me, thank you :)

I didnt even know there was a repair tool (i've been inactive for several years), cannot remember there being something like that before :)

:Evil repairer is not working for me keeps refering me to log

actually i should say that the repairer did run succussfully but when i click on shortcut it say error occured and I refers me to log which says no module named email.utils No handlers could be found for logger "overrides"

I'm having the same issue, though it surfaced since the emergency downtime and the repair function doesn't fix it. I wish I could copy the log from the launcher.exe file here but the forum won't let me. However, the log ends with:

I can still open the game just fine through eve ---> bin --> ExeFile thus skipping the launcher. That said, I'd obviously prefer it if the game ran without any kind of makeshift fixes.

yeah, same here. I open default straight into the exe file (never use the launcher), but as i saw your post, i thought i'd try. And the launcher is still wrecked (which i guess means that im going to have to use the repair tool forever more as the launcher will never...well.. launch during patch deployment, etc).

Same issue here.... "No handler could be found for longer ´overrides´" and "No module named email.utils" are both included in the log-file.

Error occured once I was kicked out due to maintenance and tried to reconnect. The message occured that there is an update. I have started it and ended up here.

not using steam here and do have the issue

Repair Tooll DO well for me. I run SSP exe file direct. Big smile
