Yet Another "Shopping" List idea

I see stuff has been suggested with this general theme in the past, but this idea's somewhat different (or at least, different from what I found using the forum search).

Essentially, I envision a user-editable (and nameable, saveable, etc) list of items and quantities. Not actual item instances, mind you, just the generic. I'd be able to interact with items in the list to, for example, "View Market Details", "Find in Contracts", "Show Info" or whatever else you can do with a generic item as listed, for example, in the Market view, a manufacturing quote, variant comparison list, or many other locations.

My initial impetus for this idea is in manufacturing. Let's say I want to build a T2 ship, I get a quote from the manufacturing interface and I want to make a list of all the materials I'm missing. If I'm missing T2 compnents, maybe I don't want to buy those, but I want to buy the moon materials to make the components instead, I can fire up another quote, and replace the T2 component(s) with required moon materials in my list. Finally when my list is done, I can go shopping, using the list as a quick & handy reference sheet - if it was really fancy it might have a "Set as current market list" option, and when I'm buying (or selling, if it was a "inventory list") the buy/sell window would let me fill in the desired quantities from the sheet with a click on the "Use Market List" button (which would also update my list quantities for me). Or maybe I don't want to bother with the market - maybe I'm too lazy to do that, so I'd just turn the list into a Want To Buy contract and set a price. Or I could drop a link to my list into corp chat and ask for charitable contributions from my loving corpmates. Or turn it into some kind of corporate contract that could be fulfilled piecemeal by different corp members.

To some extent this is already doable with the Notepad tool, using item links, but that's quite unwieldly and involves a lot of clicking and typing to manually build up the list one item+quantity at a time.

I'm sure there would be plenty of other potential uses for a user-created list of items, even without the fancy integration with other systems.
