Infinite Range Sansha Battleship Gate Rats

I just had a corp-mate report being insta-locked, shot at and receiving hits (scratching, but still) from Sansha Battleship rats on a gate at 350km, despite being in an AB'ing Atron with high transversal.

Do NPCs have infinite locking range, perfect insta-locking and insane gunnery skills now? Are they meant to be the bane of a pilots with cloaking devices? Nullsec travel has already become that bit more dangerous with how quickly Loyal rats can get a point on you, but this is starting to get ridiculous.

You have no transversal at 350km.

That said, I noticed gate rats have infinite locking range. I warped to some on-grid tacticals at a gate in drone space, and had the whole pack of rats there locking me within a couple of seconds, and was unable to cloak. This is ridiculous. I understand rats are tougher now, but what frigate locks you at 200km?

The natural defense to having no angular velocity is to be too far away to be targeted and shot. Unfortunately, the rats are ignoring the second part of the equation. LOL

I hope the models are updated with enormous satellite dishes and comically sized scopes.
