PI, some ideas

It dawned on me today, that PI is essentially planet farming. So, why do we **** the planets of its resources, instead of farming it. Shouldn't humans of the future have a farming plan for planets. A way to cultivate, and craft a plan that will yield more material than that, that naturally spawns. Shouldn't we have a system that gives us the player, a bit of control over a planet. With all the future technology, shouldn't there be more to PI, then moving ecu's and extractor heads around.

You could build an entire sim game out of just planet management if you wanted to, ya know, like the sims Smile Seriously though, if CCP wanted to, they could do this, not that planning out PI routes and materials isn't a task all on it's own, but ya it could be more developed and require more micro management and planning, but most people would cry big croc tears if they had to do more clicks than they already do.

I'm pretty sure PI is the leading cause of carpal tunnel.

Im becoming a slave to my own pi, 8 toons harvesting, 1.5 producing, so i know there is a lot of clicking.

I just think PI should get the same depth as far as modules, and skills, and production value of sp invested in it, as mining, pve, or pvp. Every part of the game could use some dept, but pi seems to be the most shallow. Once you figure it out, after a month of skilling, it never changes. Its always the same, only sec status of the space you live in changes and the taxes associated with it.
If I could improve my output by devoting another 2-3 months per toon in skills, I would

We, as a paying player base, deserve more.

Perhaps post in F&I? You might actually get a dev to see it there, unlike here.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

The lack of dev chatter about anything PI, leads me to believe that ccp is done with PI. Which makes me a sad panda. I think player support would be needed to get any new PI content. Furthermore i believe more players read science and industry that care about pi, then players that care about pi and read F&I.

Make planet farming a facebook game, then you could hire (recruit) your friends. Kind of like an Eve themed farmville.
