Now with Retribution going live and the changes made to missiles and missions what would be a good fit for the Navy Caracal? I am thinking of using it for level 1-3 missions.

This is my current old fit.

Navy Caracal

High

6 X Rapid Light Missile Launcher II

Mid

10 MN Afterburner II
Medium Shield Booster II
'Stalwart' Particle Field Magnifier
EM Ward Amplifier II
Cap Recharger II

Low

Damage Control II
Capacitor Flux Coil II
2 X Ballistic Control System II

Rigs

Medium Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I
Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Medium Capacitor control Circuit I

Ammo

Scourge Fury Light Missile
Hobgoblin II

It has 7 minutes of cap.

What can make it better?

Is there a better ship to use?

What it the best ship to use for level 4 missions now as well as far as the faste

Stick with the vanilla caracal for now, until the Navy Faction varients get the same loving that the basic hulls got, it's a little aneamic in comparison considering the price hike needed.

Tengu is still good either HM or HAM .. depends if your FoTM Sheep or not.
Raven works if you want to stick with missiles.

you wont be able to fit it in lvl 1 mission gates and i salute you for wasting so much time on lvl 3 with Rapid Light Missile Launcher II. Otherwise, what Kitty said.

Not sure if you have turret skills.. but grinding missions\blitzing lvl1-3 is quicker in a turret ship due to the abundance of frigs that can be insta popped by turrets

My level 4 mission runner is a Navy Scorpion.

I have had no trouble getting the Navy Caracal into level 1 mission gates in the past. Why would that be different now? Did they change something?

How are the Amarr ships for mission runners?

I basically have no gun skills, I could start fixing that fairly fast though.

What race makes the best mission runner ships and why? I always thought Caldari were kings of pve but I have been hearing good things about Amarr and Minmatar as well.

I also used my navy caracal for level 1 and 2 missions. I preferred my drake for level 3's because the rapid light missile launchers take forever to kill cruisers/battlecruisers. If your fit worked before, it will still work now on your navy caracal for the low end missions.

Caldari ships make pve pretty easy, although now that heavy missiles don't go quite as far as they did before, it's not as easy as sit at max range and lob missiles at everything...on the upside, I never found a level 3 that a decently skilled and properly fit drake can't just sit in (ok, maybe that one where the environment starts hitting you harder and harder, but a frig or shuttle makes that much faster).

My progression for standings grindings went

Lv 1/2 Caracal Navy Issue
Lv 3 Drake
Lv 4 CNR

All 3 of those are very strong mission running ships and since you are already skilled in missiles and not turrets, I would say stick with that unless you want to start training turret support skills (just as many of them as there are missile support skills, plus specializations for turrets requires you to have the previous size of turret specialization trained up to 4 for each type of turret (blasters/railguns/pulse lasers/beam lasers/artillery/autocannons) before you can start training the next larger size

Been a while running since I ran level 1's. But I remember there are 1 or 2 that you could only do in a T1 frig, but a very badly fit kessie would do just fine.. this because back in the day I was caldari skilled only.
