(UI Request) Customizable Link Colors in Chat

Allow us to customize what color links appear to us, on our own screen. This would be user customizable so YOU would be the one choosing how you see links on your screen, not how some people have confused this idea, thinking I want to be able to post in rainbow colors that force you to see them how I want them. If you want to see names in white, you tell the system names appear white, contracts might show up blue to you and green to me. It's your choice how you see it is the idea.

With all the different kinds of links, chat has become increasingly difficult to read, while trying to determine what people are linking sometimes ... Modules, ship fits, websites, contracts, names, etc.. Some channels, like help, are sometimes a flood of bold yellow text in replies with names, websites, modules and ship fits all linked in a reply.

Is there anyway we could have the option to color links to some other color based on what they are? Let us choose the colors for name links, module links, website links, ship fitting links, system name links, station name links, etc.... just the basic Eve color picker would be fine, and it would make it so much more informative than currently trying to guess what someone is linking when the name of what they are linking is vague.

Another, don't lock this thread post ... though I doubt this is going to get added as CCP Punk-what's-her-name already thought it was a bad idea, but mostly because she misunderstood it in the help chat when I brought it up and didn't bother getting clarification on it *shrugs*

This topic can quickly be overlooked, but Dawne is right: have you ever seen a link in a biography and wondered where it would take you if you clicked it? Color coding would be a solution that works, or maybe a small tooltip with information on the link if you stay on it.

Granted, the current link tooltip tells you "Show cruiser info" for example if the link leads to a cruiser info window, which is helpful. However, if there are many links this gets tedious fast. Maybe small icons could be used as well, for example an info icon if it is an info window, and a dedicated icon for links that open a browser.

Regardless of the solution, it would be nice to see this improved.

Instead of making it customisable I think different links should have different colours by default. I'd rather we didn't give chatbots extra tools to play with.

Although I will +1 this I would recommend posting it to this thread.
