It has been changed from being a fix % chance (unaffected by sensor strength), into how player ECM works (affected by sensor strength) some ages ago as far as I know.
So ECCM and sensor strength subsys to your hearth's delight!

(I believe ECM strength of NPCs is somewhere up to 4 normally.)



Confirming they changed it from fixed chance to sensor strength chance like a year ago or more.


Aha thanks for clearing that up for me :P, I usually only get angel / serp / merc missions, not many Guristas so I assumed it was still just a 50/50 thing (Or whatever it was before)

I saw a thorough test analysis of rat ECM vs Sensor Strength, posted on these forums, and that was over a year ago. The conclusion was that increasing your Sensor Strength means you get ECM jammed less often.



Seems like that mission would be great grounds to try out the system. Kill everything but the jamming BS's and then bring a ship fitting with ECCM that you turn on in stages to see how the jams go.

Not sure whom a Tengu with CN launcer but only T2 ballistic is supposed to troll...

Running missions in my proteus, I use a dissolution sequencer subsystem to get a sensor strength of 30. Almost never get jammed. Almost...

When I take my Kronos against jamming rats, I fit a ECCM and rarely get jammed.

Drones set on aggressive so they keep fighting even if I get jammed.

Would you fly Angel Extravaganza with a big explosive resist hole in your tank? As with all missions, fit modules appropriate for the mission.

No, but I do fight against Guristas without ECCM.

Ofc, my battleship has as much sensor strength by default, as your proteus with the subsys, and certainly a lot more than a marauder.

elite core skills, never spec'd heavy missiles. I hate Tengus and the only reason I have them is I was asked to use this fit for a spider tank among more tengus.

I am not proud of having tengus. the bling was to make me feel better about flying them

10 minutes? That's pretty Brutal. Just ran Dread Pirate today and got the same 4 BS as you did. My Golem spent maybe 5 minutes jammed in total. Then again if they gave me half a minute to fire they were dead so that helped a bit.
