hello folks,

ive noticed that since the patch update,

(drones are now legal targets for npc's to switch to when aggro'd by them)

it seems that the signature radius of drones are higher or equal to the size of a frigate?

what would be the point to bring drones if they have the same surface area to hit as a frigate?

for example:

buzzard has a 24 signature radius

hobgoblin has a 25 signature radius

correct me if im wrong in anyway

it just happened i looked over some details on both ships

I don't know how you fitted/mauled your Buzzard, but mine has a 50 m signature radius ... oh, and a 24 sensor strength ... maybe you missed a line ?

ive just noticed that the unfitted version has a similar or lower signature radius than a scout drone

Yes, drones have ridiculously big signatures and this in dire need of fixing.

Again, mine, unfitted, fitted or repackaged has the same signature radius of 50 m.

I don't know where you found that 24 m sig radius.

It's been my observation that the entire pocket (not BS tho) aggroed to the targeted drone so instead of 1 rat shooting it every cruiser and frig will concentrate fire on targeted drone, I don't believe sig has been changed just aggro, your drones have what 100 hp or something small which is why they die so fast with that much dps shooting at them.

A rig the reduces the sig size of drones would be a comprimise for this mess..

Win - Players can release drones and have a chance to control ones being shot at in time to do something about it.
Win - Drones can still be targeted and dispatched with current code.

I have being doing missions for years, and certainly used to seeing a drone start taking damage.

I dispatached a flight of Warrior II's to kill a scramming elite frig orbiting me and by the time I finished the sequence of launch - attack, they were already being popped by BS's.

Yeah a Heavy Drone has a bigger Sig then an Algos / Tristan that can launch it, bigger then a Stabber, bigger as an Omen that can also launch it. I know that Sig Rad is not directly related to size but instead to electronic size but come on.

It would be a good buff to Drones if they redid the size to something like: 25m > 10m Small, 50m > 25m Medium, > 125m H / 100m S > 50m3 Heavy / Sentry.

Also Amarr Drones... Just Amarr Drones

Drones are about half the size of the target they're meant to fight. For large drones, it's actually even smaller than that.

changing drones sig would screw up pvp completely, they just need to give NPCs a base 80% miss chance against them and that's that.

I got my drones out for a little extra damage against the last ship in the pocket, a bs using missiles. The bs dedicated one of its launchers to one of my drones. The drone did take damage but was doing fine speedtanking the missiles. Still, I ordered my drone back in case it gets targeted by more than one launcher.
BAM, into structure it went.
"Oh, MWD!" I thought.
So obviously the signature size depends on what the drone is doing. When engaging, disengaging and switching victims it is a pretty fine target.
