Ignored by CCP, taunted by CSM

And that is the current situation when it comes to players views on the game.

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2321428#post2321428

That, in the post I have linked, is the first official response we have had from CSM/CCP. They said the petition would be discussed in the Players Experiance session - no news on if it was, or what was decided. Ignored by CSM members, members that are there to represent us, the players.

Many of you will read the linked petition and just laugh but this goes beyond the JukeBox, this is now about communication with paying customers and the lack of respect CCP have for us.

I like this game, I've played it for years, but I've never felt so angry at being treated so badly by a company that is getting my money for a leisure activity.

Sort this **** out CCP.

Lol, "challenge accepted", perfect response for this nonsense. You do realise that you aren't the only player in the game, right?

Anyway, this is just a rant thread. ibtl

The petition is a good idea, though. It'll show how few people really care in comparison to the number of people who play the game.

We, the people, do not want the jukebox to come back.

Go away.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

No, it will show how few people in the forum really care - big difference

So someone essentially suggested spamming them with complaints about an issue that doesn't seem to really engage the player base, and dared them to ignore the spam.

No, I'd say that response was pretty much spot on.

Oh, and before you complain about the lack of reporting on CSM sessions, maybe you should learn how that reporting is done so you can have some realistic basis for that complaint…

If someone cared enough, they'd go looking for the forums. Obviously, a lot of people are still playing completely unhindered by the removal of a feature that has no bearing on game-play whatsoever.

So you're angry, that CCP hasn't treated you as a special snowflake and CSM doesn't have much personal interest in it. OMG to the riot mobile. If they said they will discuss the issue at the meeting, they'll likely do exactly that. What exactly were you hoping for here? A mass movement of thousand angry protestors, because CCP finally decided to make an actual music system for the game and removal of a crappy music player?

10 days going and not even 80 signatures. If you ever needed the definition of an issue safe to ignore completely....

He's obviously joking. If you think it is a bad joke, then don't laugh.

But your complaint will be heard, and now it's going to make you look bad.

Eh I was pissed they took out the Jukebox but not enough to make an issue about. CCP gets lazy and drops stuff they don't want to update, same went for the "classic client".

Plus you should always expect CCP to ignore or make wise ass comments to most things on the forums, if they didn't then you should be concerned.

FYI, CCP's official response to the jukebox issue has been available for a while now.

There's a slight bug caused by the removal of the jukebox.
If you start the game with sound disabled (eg I'm supposed to be working), then enable it, you'll get no music.
And no way to start the music, other than quitting and restarting.

Besides, what was the brilliantly insightful idea that caused it to be removed?

Actually, that's what I did, I've had music turned off for months. Turned it on after logging in and it worked fine. Maybe you've got a problem with your sound card? I dunno.... but a bug like that would probably be more wide spread by now.

Same problem happens here.

This needs clearing up - the JukeBox thread wasnt intended to be about 'Baawwww my JukeBox is missing bawww' but more about how the new music system has been implemented in a way that isn't fit for purpose.

I like this game, otherwise I wouldnt keep playing it. I just think that CCP are not learning from their mistakes when they implement what could be a great system (and I have been saying that, a lot) but its full of bugs.

As it says in the JukeBox first post, the GUI is just a way of bypassing all the bugs and allowing players to listen to what they want to until the new system works properly.

Do your own homework. The devblog answer is linked in a handful of threads, and can be found with minimal browsing of the Eve Information Portal forum.
