Understanding the Power of 2.. Please help..

So I just activated my account thanks to some help from other members..

Now I am given the power of 2 promotion which is something I was really interested in..

My question is how does it work..

Can I make a trail account and then upgrade it to a full account by the power of 2?
Or do I have to make an account right off the bat from the power of 2?

Do you get a free plex for your main account by signing up for the power of 2?

IIRC, the Power of 2 allows you to start a second account for 6 months at a discounted price.

So, there are no plexs like with the Buddy Invite. Nor do you have to start a trial account.

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

So you have to start the account right away and cant be started from a trail (meaning no extra 21days)

Correct. You cannot use the Power of 2 promotion to activate a trial account.

I would guess no.

You can cancel your first account and the second account would still have the pre-paid 180 days (6 months) which is how long it will be active, whether or not you log into it.

You do understand that someone had to buy those Plex right? With real money?
What happens when the small minority of players with extra cash, start deciding they no longer have extra cash? Or worse run out of cash due to their game addiction? Lol

So I just want to type this out to be clear and anyone can correct my math if it's wrong.

Power of 2 = spend 3 PLEX and get 180 days of game time on a brand new account

Regular buddy invite = 21 days free then put 3 PLEX on it = 90 days of game time for buddy account and 30 days of game time for main account. End result is 141 (21 + 90 + 30) days of game time for 3 PLEX

Difference = 180 - 141 = 39 days extra from the Power of 2?

You don't have to worry mate. Plenty of rich people playing EVE. Just in case you don't know, the demographic that plays is the one with the most money in the world:

20-40 American-European people.

Also when you say small minority of players that buy PLEX from CCP, where did you get this information?

Always amazes me that so little people buy PLEX, but you can always find thousands in the market at any given moment.
