Stuck deep, deep in unfriendly territory

So I've resubscribed, and I've got my client, and I log in knowing that I'm probably up Crap Creek without a paddle.
Indeed, upon logging in I find that most of my assets are way the heck out in one of the farthest reaches of the map.

I figure that I should try and get into 1.0 so that I can figure everything out again, start over, but I don't want to lose the ships and gear that I currently have. Yet I have no way of personally transporting it all, let alone getting out without getting blown up.

Anyone have an idea? I have no plan, stranded.

You have 3 options

  1. Sell your stuff at the local market and rebuy in highsec.
  2. Join the current sov owners and transport your stuff out.
  3. File a petition and ask CCP to transport your stuff out. They have been known to do this, but personally I like the other 'ingame' methods better. It feels less like cheating.

Sell it. Use contracts if you can't get access to the station your stuff is in.

Buy new in hisec.

How many jumps away from a highsec system?

20-50 jump. Minimum 20 consecutive red-to-red jumps. I'm in Period Basis. I really don't have a prayer of getting out.

I think I have a jump clone... that's good... And my insurance seems to have just enough to cover my SP's.

I guess it might not be too terrible to grind back the cash... But I recall it being a loathesome process, starting from broke. And maybe I'll manage to sell some of it.

to clarify point 3.

CCP will only transport you if your entire account has been inactive for a longer period of time (so not this character only). The time CCP defines as longer period is up to the GM.

CCP will ONLY transport the ship you are currently sitting in + any item in the cargohold(s).

CCP will transport you to the nearest low-sec system from your current location, so you ain't risk free back in high-sec. That low-sec could aswel be a pipe of 10 low-sec jumps into the nearest high-sec.

So if you do intent to use the CCP transport, I would suggest to big a ship with a large cargohold (Industrial, Orca, Rorq for instance). Repack as much ships as you can and place them in there (rigs are cheaper to rebuy then having to fire sell all your ships in null-sec).

Well, I'm not sure how this happened, but I logged in 7 jumps from my stockpile... in a shuttle.

Since the server just reset, I got on and safely ran to the station my assets are at.

I can't dock. =(

And I can't sell it either, since I'm not docked.

I have no idea what to do.

You don't need to be docked to sell items, you need the Marketing skill at 1 to sell while just in the same system. Most people usually have this at 3 or better.

Alternatively try setting up a courier contract to have it transported back to high sec. The locals will almost certainly be running a JF service to and from high sec and most of the time the JF goes empty back to high sec and comes back full. Jita would be a good destination, someone will be going there sooner or later. Break the goods into JF sized loads if you have more than one load and set a reasonable collateral. Dump the bulky cheap crap

You do not have to be docked to sell or contract your stuff.

Did you try to join the owners of the station? That would solve all your problems at once..

You can't dock cause the owner hasn't set you blue.

You can sell stuff while not docked. Hell with skills you can sell stuff on the other side of the region.
Train the skill and you can sell while being in a safe spot in the system.

You can also just put the items on public contracts to sell them and then link them in local...Make it such a price that the locals will buy it.

You can also just put them on courier contract and hope someone ships it back to empire (make it a nice reward so they will make money from doing it).

Cause you aren't docked with the stuff, the CCP movement option through petition isn't possible anymore.

I tallied up the estimated worth, and then put up an auction @ 50% markdown.
Hopefully that'll do it.

Fortunately, I have a spare cruiser and destroyer in hi-sec, so I'm not entirely screwed. I self destructed and ported to empire space. 7 jumps and I'll be back in a decent ship.

Thank you everyone for the info!

Another option would have been to contact the locals and explain the situation. A lot of times people are willing to help out.

This is EVE but that doesn't mean that everyone is a jerk.

Good luck with everything working out for you!

Tip:

Contact the current owner of the station and talk to them and show them the contract.

Let them know it's there, not many pilots in null-sec often look at public contracts.

^ this or post the contracts in local so the people online can see what you have to offer. You can do this by dragging the contract to the local chat window.
