How is it doubled when two people can warp at the same time, use an acceleration gate at the same time and move together?

It is really that hard to understand for you?
Yes, both players move simultaneusly (ideally), but to get same reward as 2 individual players soloing mission, dualing characters have to do 2 missions - they have to warp, jump, activate gates, scoop mission loot etc. twice as much. That is one of the factors why dualing l4 missions is less efficient than soloing 2 individual missions.

Basically - doubling your dps doesnt double your missioning speed, it only doubles (in theory, in reality its very unlikely) your killspeed in mission. You wont suddenly warp/move faster because you have 2 ships in fleet , so travelling time per mission stays the same.

Only you have to complete twice as much missions to get the same reward as 2 soloing players and that effectively doubles your travelling time.

Except you're also spending less time docking and undocking, less time jammed under the effects of e-war (with the exception of target painters) You're essentially running two missions in the time it takes you to do one, and you didn't need to dock/undock between.

I don't get how you don't understand that concept of it.

When your gut instincts tell you something is wrong, trust them. When your heart tells you something is right, ignore it, check with your brain first. Accept nothing, challenge everything.

Im not going to get involved in a big argument here, but do have 2 things to add to this thread.
Firstly, regarding Logistics: The new T1 logistics fits are very viable for L4 missions. I was using a badly fit scythe with 3 M4 reps and a couple of low meta hardners, booster etc and tanked the Blockade in it with no problems at all. You use the range and speed to your advantage and there are no issues. This in turn could help to keep a lower skilled friend alive who could fly a destroyer or cruiser to counter the most problematic frigates etc.

Secondly, the rather amusing argument about one solo vs two shared missions. You are both right and you are both wrong equally in my opinion! Yes, you do have double the travel time, and although on paper it should balance out, it very rarely does. Anyone that runs a fleet regularly knows that one will always forget a hardner or be distracted etc, so there is always extra time involved in running in a group. The flipside is that 2 players, if in a good combination of ships will easilly clear a mission well over twice as quick as even a highly skilled solo pilot.

Think of it this way, missions where there are many groups spread out, of which there are plenty, you can both head in a different direction and clear a group each, this will save a lot of travel time for the completion of a room. Also the combining of volleys will prevent any recharge that stronger BS NPC's may have which can add up to a lot of saved volleys per mission, which probably adds up to the extra travel times in many situations.

One other thing i will add, and this is in line with what the OP is getting at. Sure, im never going to make as much isk running missions with corpmates as i do solo, unless my corpmates had the same skills and equiptment as me, but that is not the point. It is much more rewarding for me personally to have helped lesser skilled or experienced players make a decent amount of isk more than what they are capable of on thier own.
And lets face it, having a fleet of players clearing a mission in 10 mins that would take you 30-40 on your own is actually quite a good laugh.

An MMO is all about making friends and having lols, and that is what group L4's are for me!
Thats my 2 pence anyway!
