"No suitable wrecks for [sic] found to salvage" - Are the new salvage drones bugged?

So, text bug notwithstanding, here i was on a field of blue wrecks (that i abandoned myself, mind you). All wrecks were within 15km from me. I launch drones, hit salvage and get that message.

Granted, i haven't read up a lot on it.. but aren't drones supposed to automatically salvage all legal wrecks in range?

No. I tried before abandoning, and after i abandoned. Should have made that much clear tbh.

There's no reason for salvage drones not to salvage abandoned wrecks either.

my salvaged drones have worked perfectly every time since patch day. I am using them in null sec to sweep up anomaly rat wrecks as i go, so i don't know if using them in missions is somehow bugged or something.

Yeah i've tried in anomalies as well. No dice, they only work if i target the wrecks manually. Although i did switch ships.

Scuttlebutt indicates that if you simply launch salvage drones and tell them to salvage (don't target or abandon the wrecks) they happily go about their business.

I haven't been in a position to verify this yet, and there are some people who apparently this is not working for... which would indicated some bug or quirk at work.

Thats not true, ive NEVER seen any CCP Devs in a walmart smacking them repeatedly, or kicking the crap out of them in front of a trailer.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Salvage drones will auto-salvage your wrecks. They will not auto-salvage "legal" blue and white wrecks that the char controlling the drones did not create.

So no auto-salvage for your alts or fleet members. Yet.

Ooh, than this must be it. I did created the wrecks with this toon, while trying to salvage with an alt.
