POS settings- Why is POS shooting toons with high standings?

We use a number of alts to cyno ships to our POS.

These alts all have standings of +10 to the corp they are working with.

The POS is set to shoot any character with a setting of below 0.1 standings. (attack if standings below). No other button is ticked other than at war.

The defence appeared to work fine last week on this setting but now anything not in our corp gets shot- irrespective of standings blue or not.

Can anybody suggest a fix for this?

Thanks for any help.

you have set it to shoot if SECURITY is below 0.1 not if Standing is set below.

OR u have set the pos to USE ALLIANCE STANDINGS and thus your cyno alts are nuet to your alliance even though they are blue to your corp

there is no other reason why it would attack

if the latter is the reason then your alliance will need to set your cyno alts blue OR put all your cyno alts in corp or in a seperate corp and set that corp blue to your alliance.

You always need to set the Corp standing not the Player Settings

- individual pilots, NPC factions or NPC corporations are not effective

I had the problems too and petition it and they told me that :)

To be fair, we have had a bugged POS before, which resulted in the GM's refunding ships blown up due to that bug.

So it IS possible. ;) But in most cases it will be caused by somebody that simply didn't understand how POS aggression mechanics work.

CCP reimbursed him the rhea but not all the stuff that was in it
