New Player Here: Just trying to find some peeps to hang with

Just started playing a few days ago and just had a few questions. I already sent my application into Eve University but was just wondering of any other groups of players who help out "noobs"

Plenty of other corporations who are new player friendly.

3 ways to find a corporation:

In game chat channel: Recruitment (full of spam you've been warned)
In game search engine.
Recruitment part of the forums.

Recruitment adverts in this part of forums is forbidden so you won't likely find what you are looking in NCQA.
Even if you are on a trial, you can go into the recruitment part to read the adverts. You just can't answer to them on the forums. But that is not a big deal, if you see something you like, just contact them in game...

Cool thanks. I am just trying to find some peeps to hang out with since this game seems much better with friends then soloing. I actually just got the 5$ deal from amazon.

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

I've sent PMs to both of you two. My crew is most EST & CST so you can find us in the chat channel QA Public. Suffice to say, there are chat channel communities that you can get involved in that are related to certain areas of interest (Club Deadspace for explorers, Ninja Dojo for ninja salvaging, etc.). You can also join the public channels of corporations you're interested in. E Uni has a very lively public help channel that's always got folks to chat with. Basically, figure out what it is you like to do in EVE and I suspect you'll find some folks to chat about it in a dedicated chat channel.

You can use the Corp Search tool aswell.

check through the filters so that they cover the aspects you
want to do now
want to do later

mkae sure 'new player friendly' is checked
a corp that is new player friendly is stating that they are
prepared to answer questions
prepared to answer the same questions again
prepared to answer the same questions again as last week
give fitting advice
give eve-career advice
maybe help out with new ships/fittings (but thats only a maybe)
offer fleets to mission, salvage or mine with

If you are into PvP, Agony Unleashed is quite famous for its classes, RvB is less about "teaching" PvP though you certainly can LEARN a lot there (usually directly at the undock Cool).
