I read before that you have to wait a 1hr cooldown to redeem PLEX. People later stated that you no longer had to wait to redeem plex if you were not using a new account. This account, according to its ~4 years of existence, is not new, so why does PLEX not show soon after purchasing it when I log out/log back in and visit the Noble Exchange? Has the wait time been reinstated?

You don't redeem PLEX through the Noble Exchange. There are two places to find the PLEX (and coming holiday season gifts) redeeming system. The first is when you log in and see the character selection screen, next to the "Enter Game" button will be a "Redeem Items" button with an icon of a box tied with a ribbon. The second place you will find the redeeming system is in the in-game ESC menus. Press ESC, then click the "Redeem Items" button.

I know both of these locations, and it cannot be found there. Also, you can redeem through Noble. Open Noble Exchange, and in the top right is Redeem Bought PLEX along with options to exchange PLEX for AUR, buy PLEX on market, and buy PLEX online. But in neither of the 3 locations am I able to redeem my PLEX.

Also, had I not googled the issue beforehand to be aware of a wait time at all, I might have contacted CCP thinking my order didn't go through. Did I miss a notification after buying PLEX that spoke of the wait time? If I didn't and there simply isn't one, there ought to be so people don't get confused, angry, or possibly panicked over their seemingly "lost" purchase.

My god man. You cannot redeem through the noble exchange. What the noble exchange does is take your plex and convert it to vanity items. The noble exchange has nothing to do with game time.

For security reasons there may be up to one hour delay in PLEX delivery after purchase.

Just remember to redeem a plex it must be moved to amarr, jita, or another major trade hub

Doesnt it have to be moved in a shuttle too, on autopilot for it to work?

I transported 2 plex in an Osprey to Jita.

Guess people didnt look at the poor old osprey.. should of posted in local after you docked or something... say there is more on the way, and see how many thrashers turn up on the undock.. ha!

SWTOR also has that one hour wait, it's a paypal thing (no wait if you use a credit card). I waited the one hour for my first purchase of plex, but the 2 since then no delay at all. I use paypal for everything online, so no idea if the one hour first purchase wait is just paypal here too.

I vaguely remember this happening to me over a year ago, and I got real frustrated too, until I bothered to read the information in the ultra-super-micro-tiny boilerplate text at the bottom of that Purchase PLEX page.

That info perhaps should be in the middle of the page in a regular font.

It's just confusing because there is a button to redeem PLEX in the Noble exchange, and a second one to convert PLEX to AUR. So what happens if you use the "Redeem PLEX" button? I mean to buy Noble items you need AUR, not PLEX. Does it automatically convert the PLEX to AUR if you redeem it from there?

That's the generic "item redeeming system". Not just for buddy invite rewards. I expect that's how we'll be gifted our Festival Launchers and other things in natty little boxes over the next week or so.
