The Hunt Saga - Solo PvP T1 Cruisers [Videos]

Hello.

First of all, with the creation of this thread I'm releasing a new very short 9min video of just a couple fights:
8 Hours of Rapture - Solo PvP, Rupture and Thorax - Evefiles, Youtube.

Throughout the months I've been receiving messages from many pilots ingame, and through Youtube many people that got interested about specific things in The Hunt saga, like download/youtube links, fits, music tracks, etc... Got a bit too much to answer giving out mixed links of this and that. So this thread is to sum everything up.

Anything new will always be posted here from now on, rather than making new threads.

The Hunt Saga started as I was getting into solo PvP for the first time. I've been playing Eve for a while before, and got into small gang PvP. After moving to Club Bear I decided to try solo PvP, and everything changed :-) I actually already recorded my first solo PvP fight ever (January 2012), which was far above and beyond more exciting than any fleet/gang action I've ever had. And I knew I'll record a lot from that moment. Documenting my solo efforts was and still is a privilege I highly enjoy.

    Much fear is gone. The pilot is very confident, has learned a lot from previous mistakes and learned many lessons. He now flies so free, that he no longer feels that the generally accepted limitations apply on solo PvP in any way. All the burrowed information has been cast aside, and the raw results of self experience is what builds his instinct as a pilot.

    The pilot is roaming again for 3 days, total of about 8,9 hours, trying to shed some rust and stay sharp, while enjoying himself and flying free.

    Notes:

    * Many of the fits require at least the CA-1 implant, and some both the CA-1 and CA-2 + 3% PG.

    * For the new PvPer I don't necessarily recommend flying fits without prop mods. It works for me, but not without a lot of trial and error, and the ratio of success doesn't go high until you really get the mechanics of it, which takes time. 10mn AB works very well :-)

    That must have been 8 amazing hours. Fantastic to see your rupture back in action. Funny thing that I was engineering a simelar fit on my own yesterday. Now I simply cant wait to put it to a test.

    What I like about your vids is that you not only show the good fights, but more how the life as a solo pvper really is. And how difficult it is to find good fights.

    haha its funny how 2 people can watch the same video and think totally opposite things, I was thinking how did he get so many awesome engagements in so little time! To be fair though I kind of know the answer, aldaps ballsy and bordering insane with some of his fight selections, something I respect a lot. I love these videos, its so refreshing to see no links, no scouts, fearlessly throwing yourself into any engagement you can find, hoping that your going to be underestimated.

    Aldap I'm curious how many ships were lost in the making of this vid? (roughly) I bet it's quite few P

    Thanks for all the encouraging comments!

    Indeed not so many losses for this video. Eve has been very kind providing fights quickly in these few days I had available. Comparing with the time I sometimes had to spend in previous videos (example) to find fight, it was shockingly opposite this time around. Like a gift from New Eden! Also got away quite a few times in structure which is always fun :-) I do admit that in this short video I was a lot less careful in picking fights, or making sure that fight were 1vs1s, for example if anyone agro me on a gate I'd just agro back rather than drag the fight elsewhere because I didn't have the luxury of time as I did in previous videos, resulting in a few very expected blobs. But it turned out alright and I'm grateful for the sheer amount of fun I got to have in such a short time :-)

    I also get the feeling that Eve, as I said a couple times before, wears you down as a solo PvPer. when when you're logging on expecting to get blobbed and doubting that you'll even get a single fair fight, then that's exactly what Eve will give you most of the time. Its like the Everse provides you with what you expect to be provided. So I was away from Eve for quite a while, and then I suddenly got this few days with a good few hours to roam, and I was so happy about it, and I just knew I was going to have tons of fun... And so it was :-)

    this thread definitely needs a bump... just watched your last video "8 Hours of Rapture" and it's always nice to see what engagements you get with the rupture and what you make of it. really like the style, hope you'll get more time to play.
