Hey guys, so i was wondering how many people have managed to make 1bill in 1 day profit? My average used to be around 100mill a day, today im sat at around 240mill and i thought, is it possible to make 1bill a day trading, with so much competition and stuff?
Wouldn't mind knowing if people have managed to do this?

With trade and the nature of competition it all comes down to scale. The most I've made in a single day is about 4.2B but that was due to a lot of different factors.

240 mil a day isnt bad ... that would make a plex affordable in 3 days .
And were talking about trading thats usually "safe" so its not so bad .

Yeah, i mean, i have two accounts this trader and an alt who is combat. Its nice to PLEX both accounts, and still make a comfortable amount of isk, i would just like to make more if it really haha.

Well

in my trade life, it comes down to isk on the marked ... " orders " i got around 25 b on the marked as we speak, write... what ever...

and i make between 1-3% of that in profit per day, that profit goes into the marked again and well it accelerate and so does isk in the wallet,

avg, this mounth is 310 mil last mounth 287 per day, whit very little effort on the marked..
the diffrent from now and last mounth is 5 b or so ...

you could make alot more then i do if you is a bit more agressive and update orders moving stuff and such, but i will burn out doing that... so i use 40-70 minuts a day updating and relisting stuff...

combine that income whit other activity pi, mining, missions and such and a billion isk per day isn't that far away...

but the more isk you got to work whit the more isk will return as profit ... even though the % of the investet isk will fall ...

and sorry for poor english , i am a bit drugged at the moment ....

I struggle to even find items to put into. The market seems to change so much i don't want to throw in a bill on something for an hour later to be a loss.

I never seem to have more than 3bill on the market as sell orders 4bill buy orders. My wallet fills up, i plex, ship funds to alt, but no matter how much isk i actually have, i can never find anything proerply to invest in.

Is guess i could look into PI while waiting for stock to move i guess. Never thought about it.

I speculated somewhat on what the market was going to do after some significant nullspace movements. I chanced onto the knowledge through a friend and made a bet on what would happen. In the end it worked out. On a daily basis I make about 140m ISK from market operations but it's rather limited depending on what I choose to do. There's a lot of room for expansion but I make safe bets especially considering a lot of the time these days I'm investing money on behalf of my corp and other investors(my bond threads).

I would love to have a big market operation. I was speaking to a friend who is kinda dabbling in trading about a corp. Either that, or i sell at two secondary trade hubs instead of one, but then im not even sure if that will work out, with the amount of time travelling and how fast prices are undercut.

Maybe im just getting too greedy now, i know a lot of my friends kinda envy me in the fact i haven't paid rl money for eve for at least 8 months, but it just doesn't seem enough! How i see people with hundreds of bill i don't know :( I estimated at my current rate, it would take me 13 years to make 1 trillion haha :(

Well there's always sports gambling on eve-bet but that can hardly be considered safe........of course I just made 200 mil in one night from Googling match predictions of sports I don't even watch so I'm not complaining.

1b profit in one day is very different from one billion profit each day.

For the last 30 days, 9.33bil, = 310mil/day. 25 minutes/day average time investment =~ 750mil/hr.

I don't actually do any thinking any more; I wrote software to create process queues and I just click until I'm done and log.

Depends how much hours you stay logged in, while 1b a day is possible its hard to have that income each day.You can think you've covered all market items but the truth is to cover all profitable trading items you will need several toons with maxed tycoon.The best isk is earned through manipulation though, I remember back in the days when dyspro was king I made 1.5b in 10minutes bying and relisting it.Can't do that now with tech though not unless you have several trillion deep pocketsSad

Well price history is an important thing , unless you do some real stupid investment , with enough time its hard to lose money .

I mean if you do it day by day you buy x stuff and sell 90% of it same day or next or soon enough .
If you cant sell it , price droped etc , you could just make a price which would be acceptable for you and leave it there for a week or a month .

I mean when i cba i just do the normal trading . But when you dont need money fast , are lasy , have enough capital , you can simply place

x buy orders for a low price
after 2 3 weeks or even 1 month
place x sell orders for 120% price .

Its lot slower , but it works , sooner or later you buy stuff , and sooner or later you sell it .
There is less movement , and you prob waste profits while having x amount of items sitting there waiting to be sold . So it should be done only when you dont need those money fast , with a decent capital but it works .
If something drops in price usually sooner or later it gets up again . thats imo .

(for example i had an alt which bought lots of things as i said with lower prices , then i put the orders , with huuuge difference cos i stoped playing it for a time , i think it was 200% , and never checked it again for a while , then even sub ended (wasted days of training here but meh) when i got back to him he sold everything , it took a while but i sold everything due demand sooner or later for 200% )

Im kinda bored of trading so i want really do such thing , reduce my time spent on trade from 30 40 mins daily to 30 40 mins weekly , and do something else , like manufacturing (only now getting into it :| ) to get some semi passive income while doing something else ...

Thanks for the info guys. I was just curious is all. Ive found if i make lots one day, the next day is a lot lower, but obviously im sticking in a station to sell so my buy orders are dropping. IM half tempted to make an alt just to buy, that way i might keep up each day then.

An alt is a good idea , with a good skill setup and some cheap implants getting everything in trade tab to lvl 4 is quite fast .

I wrote software to import market exports and my EVE API to make decisions for me, numnuts. I execute buys, sells and contracts per business rules that I wrote. And to clarify, I do all the damn clicking.

Getting 1 B in one day ain't that hard , making 1 B every day takes some more understanding of what you're doing.I've had days where i make 10B in one day -not speculation/manipultaion btw never done that- but my marketing at that same time would not leet me make 10B each day.
