New salvage drone question

Is there a way to make them scatter and salvage a wreck by them-self? if i click salvage on all them will go for one target at a time....which makes the process slow

have not tested them myself but have you tried to send them off to different wrecks individually?

if you lock a wreck and send a group or single by itself, you can just wanted to know if there was a simple, do this and they will auto wreck all different not in a massive 10 group lol

You have to use the vocal activation code. Get a Microphone and say "Go my robotic minions, go to their destroyed ships and bring me their treasure. Mwahahaha!" In a sinister voice. They will then scatter about the field to do your bidding.

think a dev answered it in GD ... click salvage without a target and they autosalvage ... but not sure, you can prolly double check the post from the dev

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

You can do it manually

Click the target wreck, right click on an individual drone in your list and click salvage, repeat for each drone

...

Simply have nothing targeted, right click 'drones in space' then click 'salvage'

They will auto salv most of the room.

Seems like the question is whether you can have the drones automatically split up and take different wrecks? (drone one goes to wreck A, drone two goes to wreck B, etc.)

As far as I know, when the drones auto salvage they just go for the closest wreck. However I have seen the drones split up to do different wrecks from time to time (2 drones return to drop off loot while the other 3 continue on. Meanwhile I'm tractoring a wreck closer and the 2 drones go after that one instead of the one that the other drones are at.)

But no, generally they'll end up all going for the same wreck.

Has anyone had issues salvaging sleepers/tech2 ships with the drones?
For some reason, they work on a sleeper cruiser but not on a sleeper BS.. Also didn't work on a tech2 frig wreck


They are hovering over target and the salvaging text is showing next to the drones but there are no actual salvage attempts by them..


Not sure if its related to salvage skills or simply a bug

Well, their max salvage chance is really crappy, so no wonder they can't salvage high-end wrecks.

what's the formula? Base 2%, plus 3% per skill level? That gives a maximum chance of 17%.

A T1 Salvager module with skill 3 has a 15% chance. With skill 4 a 20% chance, so already there you're better off than using Salvage Drones. With skill 5 you can use a T2 Salvager module, which gives you a 35% chance.

Which is a crap system...

If I am tractoring wrecks, salvaging wrecks, and I want to have my drones go about automatically - there should be a way to do that without unlocking all targets...

ie, I shouldn't have to unlock all targets because these drones have a crap UI.
Give them a "salvage repeatedly" command

Isn't it drone base is 3%, with 2% per level of the skill for 13% max ?

I believe they said that the drones would not be able to salvage the most advanced wrecks.

I'm not sure. It'll fail if you're in a fleet, you bounce and come back, all sorts of reasons.

They'll get them sorted out soon I hope.

Could some1 link a table with %requirements to salvage different crap? There was one.... somewhere... ages ago...
