Reribution is _good_ for Pirates if they take their privateering to heart.

As a new player to EVE i also enjoyed the read .And surprised at the reaction by some posters. If you don't like it just move along guess the X factor generation just has to be heard even if it has no value what so ever

The time wasted writing that wall of text could've been better spent, especially by a pirate. He could've, you know, ganked people for the hell of it, and still send the same message, just to another audience.

We flame when it is deserved.

I have seriously never seen such an oddly constructed tome. Everything is literally phrased as a metaphor...every sentence.

It's just bad bad bad writing.

And we have learned the hard way to never ever take a posted document such as this seriously. They are usually made that long to deliberately have no point. The writer's of these things know this.

It's called trolling to make people read nonsense of such length with absolutely no point so that 5 minutes of one's life is wasted...THAT is the point of these things.

So, yes, welcome to the EVE InterWebs. Have fun.

Edit (addendum): I'm a university educated 47 yo, btw, so this x-factor nonsense or whatever has nothing to do with it. In fact, THAT smacks of trolling.

Grammar police are in quick every one hide .if you are so concerned about grammar and how a story and thoughts are constructed you would be passing comment on almost every thread on the forum. If you dont like it move along the fact you want to shoot it down for grammar and its construction says all i need to know .i just think its sad when a person starts trying to give out English lessons on a Game forum . Remember not every ones first language is English .Nothing more to add , enjoy your game )

If pirates grouped together just whom would we fight? Would carebears suddenly learn to jump into 0.4? Would we roam null? cause 80% of people in losec are there because they hate null.

Hmm.

Pirates won't group into one big alliance because who the **** would we kill? Actively trying to give yourself less targets is not what being a pirate is about.

-10 is nice, but if everyone around you is blue, you may as well be in null pretending you're awesome because you're not in empire. Losec is for medium to small groups of players killing each other.

If you want blue oceans, seek that **** space called null. You want safety, go to null. You want boring, go to null. You want cheap **** and afk game play, go to empire. If you want fun, go losec and kill all the things.

Don't ask about Italics, just tilt your head.

This has not a thing to do with grammar. At all.

It's all about bad STYLE.

Also, their English is perfect as proven by the astonishing number of metaphors and idioms which requires almost life-long fluency. So you are wrong on that point too.

Sorry you wasted your time on my post.

Perhaps you should specify who 'you' is.

Some say pirates can't organize into into something bigger, like an alliance controlling low sec.

In a way they are correct, but pirates can co-op and work together when and where it is needed.
There is no need for one pirate lord to tell the others what to do, the organization will arise when situations calls for it,by the members themself in the pirate group.
Running out of targets has never been a problem, it's just a minority of the players, even in low sec, that are pirates.

This works, we are doing it right now.
Pirate Coalition has 150+ pirates in same alliance divided into more then 25 corporations.
You just have to think different...

The problem you guys have is a lack of vision. Instant gratification can co exist with a Plan. Think of it as this way... you can steal bread to fill a missed meal, or you can be a part of a syndicate that thrives on crime.

Both are pirates.

For those that can not read past 1-2 lines; you aren't a pirate. You're a leech =)

Get creative.
