Can anyone give me a good stealth bomber fit for L4 FW missions?

Thanks.

Edit: Fixed title.

I'm sorry to whoever had the hostage, but I may have just sawed them in half.

O.K., I'll bite.

There are VERY few L4 missions that one could even begin to think about flying with a SB. Basically, elite frigs and cruisers will eat you. IF you were to try, two TP in the mids are needed.

So I would try something like this:

Manticore

High Slots:

Torpedo Launcher II
Torpedo Launcher II
Torpedo Launcher II
Cov. Ops Cloak
-empty-

Mid Slots:

Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron
Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron
Small F-s9 Regolith Shield Induction
1 MN Experimental Afterburner

Low Slots:

BCU II
BCU II

Rigs:

Small Warhead Flare I
Small Warhead Calefaction I

Speed: 705 m/s (cold)

DPS: 585, volley: 4717

You will need a low level CPU implant to make this fit. It is cap stable so you can keep moving with everything on, Fly against rats which are weak against kinetic damage (to utilize the bonus of the ship).

But basically, I would say that this is a "Very Bad Idea" (tm)

Fun challenge though...

Edit: Just saw the FW part in your post. Nothing I can say about that as I have no experience with those.

Not sure if much has changed since I was in FW about a year ago in relations to missions, but I used pretty much the same setup listed above but with a faction MWD instead of an afterburner. I found with long range torps you could effectively keep well out of range of all hostile ships.

I will note though, however, that doing missions with a stealth bomber does require you to reject a fair few missions. Generally ones which require you to kill one target such as a base or commander where optimal. Missions that required you to kill a large number of industrial or similar often had you in the line of fire far too long and a simple mistake such as a bad transversal leads to instant deadifications.

also skip the mission that has you loot the can to get the notes. stopping and looting in your sb is BAD!:..... also the 3s are easy so check them agents. if you get a mission in a system you have a 4 in. pick it up too.... takes 3mins for 8000 lp

what the? Grab you a Tempest Fleet Issue and blitz them missions like a real man.... I swear... I see people spending 20 minutes running lv 4 FW missions in SB's and other class ships... Totally inefficient imho.

What I found most effective for me, is comparing the way I fly.

I was spending more time on GRID with any other class ship while running my missions if I wasnt in a tempest. If you are on grid, you are at risk, (if there's a local count). So for me the fastest way to collect my LP and iskies, was to blitz the missions in a proper fit ship for a particular mean to be piloted. Something that can do great dps, has great tacking and range, and can align rather quickly, has the right resists, etc. I tried many different ships, including Canes, Cyclones, Wolfs, Hounds, Ruppies, etc. To be honest, a tempest works fine, but the extra low gives a better advantage... and the tank is much better and here is how I fit it, and Ill describe how and why I fly it the way I did.

highs
6 LargeAautocannons
Improved t2 cloak
Med Neut to help neut any tacklers (if they ever even got on grid with me)

mids
2 lse
2 hardeners for mission dmg
Large mwd

lows
Damage control t2
3 gyros
3 tracking

Rigs
depending on the resits of the missions ( EM, 2 extender) for example for Amarr missions

So any time there is someone on grid at a gate as I jump in (after I scout first) I mwd cloak off the gate to safe, go from there.

Always warp to the beacon or gate at 10 km... so you do not get bumped or caught in the acceleration gate.

Any time someone comes in local while I am on grid in the mission, I align to a safe while finishing the kill that completes the mission.

There are only a few FW mission types, so learn them well and keep the practice of the strategy you use down.

There are a bunch of systems you can warp to for FW missions, What i tend to do is this...

I warp to each system, say a 10 mission chain, and accept each mission, using a fast align frigate. Then come back to say, DAL, to grab your BS and start a chain... Use the map to help you make a route that is logical, make a clean route that wont send you 30 jumps total, but rather 15 from point a to point b... so run the missions central to a base system you selected that is logical to your needs, I used Dal as my base, and would run from Heimatar to Metropolis regions.

This ten missions chain will allow you to constantly be busy, always moving and only in system up to 5 minutes, maybe 10 for beginning out as you learn the flow of this method.

I swear... I made billions running missions this way and never lost a TFI or a tempest... for that matter, At time I would run missions with a FW target in system, but mostly would never do so... So scouting the system is VERY IMPORTANT, and or grabbing an alt to check stations (if any) and maybe even a cov ops to watch the FW target as he is in his plex site counting down the meter on the button.

The purpose here is to get the lp as fast as possible and be off on your way... NOT ON GRID, anywhere. This method would double my lp and isk compared to my SB and Crusier, AF or even BC method... which I would still chain the missions. After you finish a chain of your ten missions, go collect the lp and get you a few TFI and sell them in rens for your profit... at least it used to bring me 300 million isk per 5 missions after buying a regular tempest and flipping it. Hope this complex madness will benefit you, which it can and will if you do it correctly.

The TFI fit above is a great way to hit while aligned and as soon as someone warps in, you leave your drones and warp off... they love seeing shiny ships in local on d scan, but hate it when they can never catch you while you make your isk. Sometimes they would wait me out and Id simply not complete the mission or chain. Good luck :)

Thanks for the input. I saw some forum posts previously talking about soloing those kinds of missions in a SB and was just wondering what a good fit to use would be. The More You Know.

Actually, for some time, I used a high-speed Nemesis blitz fit:

=====

[Nemesis, Faction Warfare Missioner (T2 AB)]
Overdrive Injector System II
Overdrive Injector System II

1MN Afterburner II
Small Shield Extender II
Small Shield Booster II
Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron

Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Prototype 'Arbalest' Torpedo Launcher, Inferno Torpedo
Prototype 'Arbalest' Torpedo Launcher, Inferno Torpedo
Prototype 'Arbalest' Torpedo Launcher, Inferno Torpedo
200mm AutoCannon II, Barrage S

Small Bay Loading Accelerator I
Small Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I

=====

You can get close to 1,000 m/s with an NN-603 implant and a Zor's Hyperlink plugged in; optionally, you can use a deadspace AB. Don't go for a MWD; the extra speed isn't worth the sig bloom. The AC is in case you get tackled by an NPC frigate.

It's vulnerable to ewar against pretty much anything except the Amarr; Gallente will damp you down so far you'll have to get within 20km of targets, sometimes, while Caldari will jam you out and Minmatar will paint your signature until you're insanely vulnerable to missile fire. And it absolutely needs to be flown manually; if you try and simply orbit, you'll quickly hit zero transversal and get sliced into confetti.
