Hammerhead x3

Appreciate any and all feedback. Big smile

Null or low?

For null better off fitting a damage rig opposed to the trimark, going slow = bad.

Also tbh, zero benefit of flying this over an armor tanked thrasher except it has that fresh new smell and people dont know what to expect, suppose it makes it kinda worth while.

I dont have eft or anything handy.

But anyone try something like this, I was messing around with it last night.

highs - 5x 200mm autocannon 2
Med - normal stuff mwd scram web
Lows - Drone damage, dcu2, 400mm plate

Pretty much same as your armor setup but with autocannons ( a little liter on grid and cpu)

I could have sworn I worked out a fit last night with ions and a decent tank

sigh, that what I get for drinking and gaming

I am new and have a couple of these ships. I have a couple of questions on the fit. Why no armor repairer?

My fit:

High
5x Light Neutron Blaster II - Void S

Med
1MN Afterburner
1 web

Low
Damage Control II
Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Small Armour Repair II

Hobgoblin II x5

Start the day off slow and taper off from there.

I found the armor rep was not effective in combat. Would rather have the high buffer.

I like active armour resist setups, simply because I fly around null a lot and can have multiple engagements in systems where there's nowhere to repair, I wasn't too keen on sacrificing mids for a shield setup, so went with this one:

Link

I fly Ishkur's a lot so this has the same kind of rules of engagement, get in as close as possible, point and web the buggers, get under the tracking of their guns, can switch to a scram if that's your flavour.

I've used a simple flight of 5 hobgoblins but if you use the extra bandwidth, can get up to 384 DPS with 2 Hammerheads and 3 hobs.

Yeah I was about to comment with the 2Ham/3Hob thing. Also you have enough room left for 5 light armor bots so you can patch up your drones or fleet mates if you're out for a long time with no access to a station. I prefer the range flexibility of rails because I always find it difficult to stay within even 3k of frigates, but putting on blasters is a nice DPS boost if you can stay close. Also, I swapped the web for a tracking link just on a whim.

Under 9k EHP despite being absolutely covered in fitting mods. I'm sorry bud but you'd get better stats out of a single 400mm with a DC2 and you wouldn't have to sacrifice 2 rigs and a low.

And what frig dessy you think will move or survive 5 hob and 12km rails if you stay on a warpin or if caught on a below 7km warpin??
Or should i be pro and engage a small cruiser fleet whit it?

I didn't say it wouldn't work, just that it could be done with much better stats.

Why would you put blasters on an Algos?

The Algos gets no falloff or optimal bonus - just a tracking speed bonus. If you're MWD and get scrammed, you'll practically be stationary. Unable to get within blaster range, your actual DPS will be around 150 from drones.

Just sayin'.
