Ok, dumb question from a null-bear who can't understand the killright giving / selling thing.

I gathered up lots of killrights on my cynoalts,
Im not intrested in chasing cyno-poppers , so .. I gave them away..

( avaideble to public, at 0 cost )

Did i use it as intended? ( kill em if you want )
Or, does it not work that way ?

( im thinking now, should have waited until they undock 4-4 .. But.. Ah well... )

Didnt lose a cynotoon since the patch btw , how. Strange! :)

i have similar problem. Got kill rights on 1 person whos main job is suicide ganking miners. So all i've seen he does is: undock in thrasher, warp to exit bookmark, then warp to belt and suicide. Tried to catch him (not sure he even noticed) for like 1 hour or more.... Not sure if it worth my time and anybody will even pay for it.... What?

On the other hand he suicided my interceptor (it's like 30 millions with fit) and with this situation i can kill him like 5-10 millions (thrasher with T1 fit). Not speaking about his SS (-10) so i can engage him anyway Lol

I guess it is really the best choice to just forget about it.

For lolz is certainly good enough , working as intended then

Do i understand the mechanisme correct, that until the killrights are collected, it stays open for as long i still had it?

And i just realised, that at 0 isk its kind of easy to get rid off tho

Your basically selling your kill right, so the value you key will be what someone has to pay you activate the kill right. Once activated that person if flagged and becomes an open target in highsec.

So selling your kill rights mean they become a legit target for bounty hunters in highsec.

Now to get rid of this killright, the fee has to be paid by the person who activated it. So a bounty hunter pays you to kill them, or if the person with the kill right has to use an alt or a buddy to activate it. Either way, you get paid. Unless you don't put in a fee, in which case it can be easily gotten rid of.

Of course, this system only works for the bounty hunters if you have put a bounty on the target which the off sets your kill right fee.

Dude, eve is a sandbox game. There is no wrong way to do it. If you put out a killmail for 1 million isk. Chances are you'll get someone to pay you 1 million isk to light him up in high sec some day when he's in a belt or at a gate or sometimes fun, in a mission or fighting in a fleet battle.

Another way you do it is always set the killmail price to the price of isk that you lost. This way if one day someone really wants him dead, because he's in a valuable ship, you might make your loss back.

Or you could put them up for free. it's up to you

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but if you make them avaiable for public and for free won't they just hopp into their alts and pop themselves in a rookieship to get rid of it?

This, I was going to post. Publishing at 0 isk allows him to remove the kill right with an alt, at no cost.

Thanks for reminding me that I have to flag some cyno poppers.
