Corporate marketplace

What we really need is a corporate market where you can place things for sale to only corp-mates at special price. I know many are saying, noob that's what the corp contracts are for. But contracts don't allow for the purchase of just 1 of the stacked items. You don't want to clog corp contracts with tons of single item contracts.

This would allow corps to have a store of items for member purchase (cheaper) that is also easily searched and industrialists an easy way to supply the corp war machine while still covering their expenses.

It doesn't seem that it would be too hard to implement seeing as specifying corp/alliance is already in the contract system and would have such a huge impact on making corp logistics easier.

I'd like to see a sort of vending machine module (probably in new POSes) with this functionality.

This could certainly apply to alliance too, just as contracts do. The important thing is to have a secure and convenient way to sell to corp/alliance mates at a special discounted price. The contract way just does not work when you have a stack of 50 Damage Control II's that you want to sell to corp/alliance, but you know they will want to buy one at a time, so what? 50 contracts of 1 each clogging up the corp contracts? Harder to search for what you need and way to time consuming to create the 50 individual contracts.

Corp/Alliance Marketplace would just make life easier.

That's totally hilarious! I can just imagine it...

As one of those industrialists, this feature would make live soOOOOoooo much better. Much better than my idea of being able to set discount percentages for market sales to corporate and/or alliance members.

this feature was promised 2 years ago, must still be on a back burner.

Alliances would like it because they could impose a market tax on alliance and or corp internal sales.

Interesting... I didn't know that it was on a previous feature list. We need to somehow get it back on the list.

Also, I didn't think about the tax issue, but that could be good or bad. The idea of the special closed market is to help the corp/alliance by providing equipment (hopefully all the stuff necessary for your ship doctrines) to members for support of corp activity. I'm not sure how much you want to burden that with tax, but as long as it stays cheaper than regular market price I guess it is still a win-win.

The easiest and most intuitive solution to this would probably be an option to adjust the visibility of orders depending on Standings/Alliance/Corp.

So, you could make an order selling 20 Ravens for alliance at at lower price. Then your alliance mates are the only ones who see this order and can fulfill it.
This way other players would not be totally detached from the alliance market as someone who puts up Ravens for a lower price would still get the buyout.

I would love that for contracts too instead of needing to switch back and forth between types of contracts I am looking at. I just suggested the other way to duplicate the way it is already handled with contracts and likely the least effort on the part of programmers since they could just copy code and UI.

This sounds overly complicated compared to the alternative:

Use the regular market that exists already, and simply having a set of 3 fields you can optionally fill in every time you set up a sell order:

1) "% discount to corp mates"
2) "% discount to alliance mates"
3) "% discount per 1.0 amount of standings to you"

You could also have some sort of checkbox option or whatever for whether those discounts stack or not.

or if they are going to stick with contracts, you need to be able to either buy just 1 from a contract (not likely) or a fast way to most multiple single item duplicate contracts from a stack (and have them all count as 1 corp contract?)

I think a check box to say "for corp mates only" or "for alliance mates only" would be the easiest. The flat discount way might work.
